  1. Right, so have installed the basic solution… actually pretty pleased with it. I can’t fault how firmly the thing is held in place, that’s for sure. Not super easy to install, the bar the isofix mechanism grabs onto is pretty deeply recessed in the seat so takes a bit of grunt to get it to clip on. It’s a super cheap and simple solution but seems solid to me. Is a thick bit of steel
  2. This universal one arrives tomorrow, I’ll have a go and update you!
  3. I’ve got a mk3 SE trim, so the cloth seats. Since writing my post, I started to think that the proper Skoda part doesn’t have anything for the top anchor strap to attach to (the child seat I have is an all in one thing with the top tether, not one of the ones with a separate base thing.) so I’ve ordered this to try it out: https://amzn.eu/d/1zvfcis My reckoning is that it will be secure enough as the tether strap will ensure it’s completely attached all around the back of the seat. Fingers crossed! Am in London
  4. Did you ever solve this? Am wanting to do this retrofit to my mk3 superb, hoping you found a way to fix it! thanks. P
