  1. Hi OccyVRS, If you could put up some instructions/photos that would be great! 🙌
  2. Has anyone ever had the ticket holder clip come loose and cause an annoying buzzing? Took me a little while to figure out where the noisewas coming from. The clip has come loose, and moves a little up and down in the seal. Has anyone else had this, and come up with a fix? Thanks Dave
  3. Hi all, Does anyone know of or can point me in the direction of the fitting of the sunglasses holder? I accidentally caught mine when it was opened and it has come out of the surround, with a spring hanging down either side. I have looked in the manual, but that part does not seem to be covered, just the mirror unit. I have a feeling I need to remove the whole surround indicated by the green arrow Thanks in advance
  4. Hi, how did you get the surround off that the green arrow points to? I accidentally caught the sunglasses holder and it came out, but I can't find any guides or videos on how to get it back in.
  5. Hi, yes they are the raised rails on the car. I believe the maximum weight for the roof bars is 75kgs, and can't see why I'd be going over that. The Thule roof boxes have some fore and aft movement inbuilt I think.
  6. Will be either a Thule roof box, or the odd trip from Ikea with boxes that do not fit in the car Thanks for the reply!
  7. Hi all, I'm just wondering is there a best position to mount some Thule Roof bars to the rails on the Mk3 Combi/Estate? I've seen on other places that Skoda have done diagrams with measurements on them (like attached for the Enyaq), but I can't find anything for legacy or archived models. All help greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave
  8. Here's the link to the mesh from Amazon, it is a 6x12 diamond, black aluminium mesh. It comes rolled up, so take some time to flatten it out a bit better. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C8H9GJHC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 I trimmed it up, and folded a small amount around the grille back edge, then added some high strength two part epoxy, which we use it at work to hold material onto plates for turning in CNC lathes, so I know it's not going to go anywhere. I have attached an image, where the epoxy is setting, I tried to get it into the small channel around the outside of the honeycomb, that is not visible from the front of the grille. I also tried to form the mesh to fit the back of the grille profile, with some gentle bending and persuasion, and held it in place with zip ties. The VRS badge I had, has a bracket on, which also helps keep the mesh located and fitting to form.
  9. All done and fitted! Along with some headlight eyebrows and mudguards (white cars are a nightmare!!!) Many thanks to OP - JohnnyType2 for the guide and mudguard help too! 10. Here is my honeycomb grille I have been preparing with a black VRS badge. I have added some black ali mesh behind it, to help protect the radiator that little bit more. I'll be fitting it as soon as there is a slightly warm-ish day. I'll post the after photos as well. Many thanks to the OP, JohnnyType2, for this guide though!! Dave
  11. Hi all, just found this great post. But I can't find where you got the replacement LED indicator bulbs from? Thanks Dave
  12. @PetrolDave Many thanks! I'll give it a go!
  13. Hi all, Can anyone help with how I go about updating the Maps, as the USB port in my Octavia does't like my phone/android auto - a common problem with no real solution so far as I can see. The guide says I have to format the SKoda SD card, but to me that means it deletes everything off there? Surely it needs something to remember it came from the car in the first place? Anyway, I'm reluctant to Format anything until I know I am sure of what to do. Thanks in advance
  14. I'd be keen to know if this is possible too!
