  1. They're definitely on my shortlist - they are supposed to be pretty good in the wet and rim protection is an added bonus
  2. The S-Pin. If turned on, you're asked to enter it everytime the Infotainment boots up. It's set in the app and can be changed in there quite easily if you've forgotten it
  3. I finally did mine a few days ago. No real problems - I did have to log back in, but for some reason login kept failing immediately afterwards, but was successful the next day. My virtual cockpit and mood lighting changed back to default so I had to change them back to how I'd set them up previously. Also, the following day it randomly asked me for my PIN, even though I had it turned off previously. I entered the PIN and changed the setting back to 'don't ask for PIN' and it's been OK since. Other than those fairly minor niggles I haven't had any problems.
  4. Wow, that sounds like an expensive way to find out. Thanks for the info As an aside, which tyres did you go for in the end?
  5. Can you remember which settings needed tweaking?

It does all seem to be a bit wishy washy when it comes to servicing, service intervals and paperwork

I like the look of the rim protection 👍

Thanks Thamestrader. I did get a paper invoice for the work I paid for, I just wasn't sure if the details should be on the digital record too. Seems a bit daft having some info saved digitally and the rest on old school paper invoices - but if you've had the same experience I guess that's just how it is!
  9. Hi, I had my 73 plate Karoq serviced yesterday by a main dealer. I also had brake fluid changed. However, when I download the Digital Certificate I can see the entry for the service, but not for the brake fluid change. There is a 'Workshop Note' for yesterday but nothing to say what it was for. Am I missing something, or do I need to get back on to the dealer to update it properly - I obviously want a proper record of any work done on the car

Thanks Occy, that makes sense. Appreciate the info

I've got hold of some GardX (Stage 1 and Stage 2) ceramic coating. Was going to apply this myself as a friend has assured me it's a very user friendly product and easy to apply. Now that I've been reading up on it and watching a few videos, Im a bit concerned. The consensus seems to be that this should only be applied professionally and you can actually ruin your paintwork if it's applied by non-pros. Anyone done this themselves? Am I being over cautious or should I just steer clear and avoid the risk??
  12. Thanks Thamestrader & mumpsim. Rim protection is definitely a worthwhile feature - I reckon I've got a couple of months to finish researching (btw my tyres are 225/45/R19)
  13. It reassured me a bit reading this post and thamestrader's reply, knowing others are having the same experience. I've had my 2.0TSI 4x4 for just over a year. 5k miles when I got it, over 17k now, but fronts in particular are badly worn on the outside edge. I've swapped fronts to backs this afternoon to try and eek out a few more miles but expect to be changing them out at 20k if not sooner. I'm currently looking at Goodyear Vector 4Seasons as the most likely replacement, mainly because of a combination of good reviews and a decent price at Costco - although Costco only do Gen 2s unfortunately - the Gen 3 is supposed to be quite a step up in most areas. I've had All Season tyres on my last few cars and feel comfortable with the compromises to ensure decent cold weather, snow/ice performance - for the few days a year that they really come into their own in the UK!
  14. Ah, that makes more sense!
  15. 48-52 mpg in a 2.0 TSI!!! Flippin heck, I think I must have a very heavy right foot 😂
