Whilst browsing skoda parts - I noticed they had a storage bag that attaches to the side of the boot. https://skodapartsdirect.co.uk/product/skoda-storage-bag-for-luggage-compartment/ Has anyone got one in their octavia? Did it fit well? Or am I best off sticking to the cheapy bag I use from amazon, that vecros to the side.

Hello Nik I appreciate it's 4 years since you did this, but do you think it's possible to ft the bracket and the holder with the seat still in-situ? I'd like the holder on the passenger seat. So would the part numbers be: 5E0 881 646 A (bracket) and 5E0 881 197 B 9B9 (holder) ?

I've discovered the three lines in front of the brake light are the FM and DAB aerials. So they won't demist. (The roof mount sharkfin is for GPS and mobile phone signal). So it could be a bad earth? There's an aerial amplifier. If this isn't getting power, then there's no signal. I'll get the Skoda dealership to investigate. They might have nudged something when the dash cam was fitted.

An update on the radio. Both FM and DAB reception are out with the rear demist active. A few elements on the rear demist are out. Both problems might be linked?

I'll get the dealership to investigate it. I won't get it booked in just yet - I'll make sure I'm happy with everything else on the car first. Speaking of which - the automatic front and rear wipers. I've got the option ticked in the settings menu. Do I need to have the stalk in a particular position for the wipers to activate?

A scan with vcds? Or would a basic obd scanner pick up a fault?

The car has got the shark fin type aerial on the roof - but I think that's for GPS? It could be a bad earth too. Thanks for confirming the signal drop out is not normal behaviour

Ah so it could be a damaged element in the rear screen? As I've only had the car a couple of days I'll query it with the Skoda dealership.

I have a pre-facelift 2017 Octavia vrs When I have the rear demist on, the dab radio says "no signal". As soon as I have the demist off, the reception returns. Does anyone else's radio do this?

Hello Vaderoguy Thanks for getting back to me.I collected the car on Monday. It's definitely pretty quick, it feels a lot quicker than the claimed 7.9s 0-60 time Regarding the spare wheel toolkit. I'm not sure I've got all the bits - I'm missing a plastic bolt cap removal tool. I've got the jack, towing eye and wheel brace. Are there any other items missing? There's a hi-vis vest holder under the driver's seat. But the umbrella holder is missing from under the passenger seat. Is it easy to retrofit with the seat in situ? (As in can it be screwed in place without removing the seat?) There's no paper service record with stamps- Skoda have this electronically, but i did get them to print it out. I think I have the correct size warning triangle, so I'll put that in later today. The first aid kit (part number ?3T0093108B?) - am I best purchasing it from the dealer, or is online a lot cheaper? There's a bit of wheel or tyre noise at speeds above 40mph. I didn't notice it during the road test. Is it because I've got 18" rims?

Hi all If all goes well I'll be collecting a pre-facelift 2017 mk3 Octavia VRS tomorrow from a local Skoda dealer. When I go to collect it, are there any items that should be present in the car, that I should look out for? I know there's supposed to be an ice scraper in the fuel filler flap. Should the car have the umbrella and safety vest under the seats? What items are supposed to be in the boot toolkit: jack, towing eye. Anything else? Also what items are supposed to be in the boot? I'm guessing the net thing isn't supplied as standard? I just wanted to check before I drove it away - so I can ask the dealer for them if they aren't present. Also it's got gemini alloys, but they are black. Was this a factory colour, or have they been resprayed? Thanks in advance
