  1. Thank you man! I‘ll try it
  2. Hi, thank you. And have you fixed it? Now you do not here this sound anymore? If you have fixed it with this I‘ll go and tell my dealer to do that.
  3. Nope, it doesn't do the same noise when it's warm. But you would hear it after 10-15min you started the car. @MANi_727 Have you had a chance to identify the issue?
  4. Hi @MANi_727 This is my car :) 2018 1.5 TSI 100k km on it. I took my car to the service again 2 weeks ago but I couldn't find a solution. According to them, this sound is very normal, and they said it is coming from a part that provides engine heat when the car is cold. I don't know anything about cars, and I can't remember the part they said, but they said it is normal. You will hear this sound when the weather is hot or the car is hot but outside is cold. I also paid extra and had the trigger belt, etc., checked, but they said it was solid, and there was no problem. Frankly, I am tired of this car and my only wish is that the belt doesn't break or malfunction by summer. I will pay off the debt and sell it and get rid of Skoda and its stupid services. btw: This sound started for me around 80k km and I drove it for 20 thousand more. During 2 weeks of summer vacation,s 5-6 thousand km. I can say from my own experience that there is no problem that would leave it on the road. At least I was lucky. I wish you good luck. Please let me know if you find a solution!
  5. Hi, I finally got an appointment and let them check the car. They did the oil change at my request and checked the belt etc. I had to pay extra to have it checked. As a final result, they told me that the noise I hear from the start when it is cold is normal for those engines and could happen for a couple of seconds it's completely normal. It wasn't happening before but according to the age of the car, it's acceptable (that's what they say!). After all of these checks there is no satisfying result from my side and don't know what to do. Probably will look for some unofficial Skoda repair guys to double-check it which is not easy to find and every check costs money.. I will try to keep you guys updated if I get some results.
  6. Thank you so much! I will just drive there and try to convince them that I need an urgent appointment to let them check all of the points. Thank you for your help!
  7. Hi, yes I am on extended servicing schedule but I will keep that and ask for oil change every year when they do the yearly service. I will try to make and appointment as soon as possible only for the oil/filter change. And do you also think the noise comes from the cam belt? The sound towards the end of the video seemed to me to be coming from the belt also.
  8. And do you think it's something I have to take care of fast and can damage something? The earliest possible appointment I can take is around 3 weeks after because of the new year holidays etc and there is no earlier possible date.
  9. There is no belt change since I bought the car and there is no change history in the service logs. The last oil change is done around 84k km and now the car is around 100k km and the next oil change is around 14k km according to the service. Have not done any scann snd I was planning to make a service check appointment. But beforehand I wanted to get some advices. but this sound only happens when the weather is hot above 12 and above. In a cold weather I do not have it.
  10. I bought the car from Skoda authorized service at 73000 km and is currently at 99000 km. Standard maintenance was done at the service and I have it done at the service every year according to the service's recommendations. When the weather is above 12-13 degrees, the cold start makes a sound like a popping sound and it goes away after a few seconds. This sound only occurs when the weather is warm above 12 degrees and the car is cold or when I use it for a while, turn it off, and do a cold start for about an hour. There is also the famous rattling sound, but this sound is more intense when the weather is hot. I hardly hear it at all in cold weather. Does anyone have an idea? Here is the video for the sound.
