  1. Hi there, I’ve ordered a second hand compressor which turned out to be seized because we tried to rotate the pulley but couldn’t, I asked my mechanic if he could just change the pulley which is making noise on my car, he said we can’t change the pulley alone as it requires specialist equipment. He told me to replace the whole compressor and regas it, I know some people like yourself who change just the pulley and the noise was gone. Could you please suggest me a mechanic who could do it for me of if you’re willing to do it for me as you’ve done hours I’d be very grateful. (Obviously I’ll pay the labour cost) 😀 please let me know yours thoughts, I’m in Birmingham Thank you so much.
  2. Thank you so much, mine started only when AC off, later it’s started all the times. Ordered a second hand compressor hopefully I will fix the issue.
  3. Hi there, I know it’s an old post, I’m having the exact same issue, same rattle/noise, before it used to fade when turning the ac button on, now it’s continuous and worse when the engine is cold, even when I drive starting on low revs it gets worse. Been told there could be a faulty ac pulley with clutch and might need to replace the whole compressor. how did you sort it out please. Any advice would be greatly helpful. looking forward to hearing from you
  4. Thank you for your reply, I’ll definitely consider changing the garage before changing the Pulley. 😃
  5. Hi, my Octavia is making constant noise on low revs from AC Clutch/Pulley. Been to the mechanic and they say if we only change the pulley it won’t work, so need to change the whole compressor. I was wondering why is that, why can’t we just change the Pulley which has some rust on it and making noise? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
