  1. The 1.5 115bhp is available in the Octavia here in Ireland. I have ordered one with manual gearbox and am waiting on delivery. It can be gotten in both manual and DSG. my understanding is that the ACT is only in the MHEV (e-TEC) engine which i think has DSG only. The 1.0TSI is no longer available in the Octavia here. it may be different in the UK.
  2. There are 2 versions of the 1.5TSI. There is a 148bhp and 115bhp. At least that’s what’s offered here in Ireland. The 115bhp version is new to the market.
  3. This company are now 'Laharts'. They are a Skoda Dealer in both Clonmel & Kilkenny.
  4. The 1.0TSI is now no longer available in the Octavia and has been replaced by the 1.5TSI 115bhp version. I’m not sure if the 1.5TSI 115bhp has ACT but maybe someone else here does ?
  5. Hello Everyone, I have just joined the forum. Happy New Year to all of you. I currently have a 1.0TSI (110bhp)Octavia that I bought new in Jan 2024 and I have to be honest to say that I have been very disappointed in it overall. At 5,000miles, I had to get the flywheel, clutch and clutch release bearing replaced. I never had to replace a clutch in the 30+ years I have been driving. I have had gremlins with the infotainment system too (which are still not fixed).....wireless apple car play only seems to work some of the time. I have shown the dealer that my phone works 100% of the time in other Skoda's and I do not experience the issue in any other car. The door card in the drivers door is always vibrating and the dealer keeps fobbing me off. The 1litre TSI is lumpy and gruff and to me, it seems like the engine is 'soft'. This is just my opinion and after driving the 1.5TSI (115bhp) version, I will hopefully move to one of those as that engine is so much sweeter. I apologize that my first post is a little on the negative side but if you have the chance to buy either the 1.0 or 1.5 (115) I would go with the 1.5. just my 2 cents..
