Mysterious Brake
If we are talking about the same thing that happens exactly one minute in to the drive, if you are braking at that point, it will lift the brakes and stop braking for that moment.

Is the new Kodiaq iV a lemon?
You can check my post and comment history. The dealer kind of fixed most of the issues, apart from the door panel led strip rattling (not a warranty issue they said). That being said, it does ta a LOT of effort and time, due to repeat visits with the same issues to get these things sorted. Some months i seen the dealer more often than I see my mom, which is not ok. I doubt that next car will be a Skoda or from a VAG at all. Well see.

Mysterious Brake
Not sure if this is it, but exactly one minute after the PHEV starts, this jolt happens. Sometimes it feels like a car is braking, sometimes like releasing brakes. Factory requested the gearbox swap, but the issue did not go away. Currently an sw update is expected that should fix this.

Driving Score in MySkoda App
As others have said, chances are that they are still profiling you, just not showing it anymore.

Driving Score in MySkoda App
Same here, these are great news. Make sure to object to data processing to their DPO for these kind of things if it is important to you that Skoda do not profile you like this.

Skoda Kodiaq2, PHEV version feedback after a few months of use.
Hi, So my door issue came back again. Basically, from what I understood, they actually greased the contact places of plastic with something, which kind of makes it better. Now I hear faint slushy sound instead of rattle. I know that it is a bit ridiculous, the fix itself and to be on the second panel already which has the same issue while the dealer just dances around it. I kind of want to get them to fix it, because I like the car overall, just don't know how to approach them with that. I have been visiting dealer with the same issue for at least 8 times and I am slowly approaching the end of the rope. I am kind of starting to feel like a crazy person who complains about nothing, because it is difficult to replicate on a whim. Edit: the sound itself is super weird. You probably need “young ears” to hear it. 😁

Driving Score in MySkoda App
Well, give them some time, I think that it can take up to a month. If there is silence after that, file a complaint with your countries ombudsman: https://www.edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en If you believe that they have violated the GDPR, you can lodge the complaint with your countries agency anyway. The fines for these violations can be very significant.

Driving Score in MySkoda App
Yea, got something similar. It basically disables everything. Anyhow, there is no way I am ok with them processing my private data this way, so I will be looking for a better way to disable this, even if it means saying goodbye to the Skoda application. There are some other concerns, but for that will need to find some free time to write directly to the DPO and our countries GDPR watchdog.

And speaking of AI generated slop, you can guess how the official Skoda support came up with these instructions:

Driving Score in MySkoda App
Hi HenPen, This AI generated text is not a solution. I do understand that you want to help us out but this is not it. Disabling everything to maybe(!) stop Skoda from processing that data is crazy. I will go the formal GDPR route, as one of the commenters above has done.

Driving Score in MySkoda App
Well, all of the consent switches are off, same in their self service portal but they still process that data and not only the Driving score. Given how many defects the app and infotainment system has, I am not holding my breath. Skoda Support so far has been just wasting time to keep the SLA counters going and replying with ChatGPT generated slop. Overall I do not care about most of the defects, but the unsolicited Driving Score thing feels like a serious violation.

Driving Score in MySkoda App
Hi, Where in app does it give you that option? I am currently in a 15+ email chain with Skoda support and even they themselves cannot provide a way to turn off Driving score option. Steps with a screenshot would be greatly appreciated. Edit: adding screenshot where there is no consent given and they still process that data. All of them are off and so are the settings in Skoda self service portal. They basically ignore those.

I will disagree about the possible usage of the data, as they actually mention use of this data for the insurance purposes in the changelogs of app. Also the data that is calculated, it is a honeypot for insurers.

I have the same. This feels like a violation, because I do not remember agreeing to this kind of use of my data. Basically, getting the gdpr request from them now and then will involve our countries ombudsman. This is not fine. If anyone wants to see what data they have collected on you, you can use their automated tool: https://privacyportal-de.onetrust.com/webform/4f52de0a-110f-4524-8986-02d49fa567c3/b52d4bbc-8309-429d-bcbb-fe8618251619

Skoda Kodiaq2, PHEV version feedback after a few months of use.
An update to the ACC issue. The replacement went bad as well. From what I understood, with the same issue. Fingers crossed that they have redesigned that button, as this is getting a bit silly, disposable ACC levers 😁. Will be on my third one soon.

To my knowledge, they swapped the Cruise control stick. At least that is what I was told. Now it is ok.

Skoda Kodiaq2, PHEV version feedback after a few months of use.
Hi! Will try to list them, - it would falsely complain about me not paying attention to the road, - it would randomly turn on the acc, - adjusting speed was not possible. - after some 20 minutes of driving, it would completely kill the feature, saying that “acc/travel assist is not available” (do not remember the exact wording anymore). The button itself felt weird (almost like a touch button), but I do not remember how it was from the very beginning.

Skoda Kodiaq2, PHEV version feedback after a few months of use.
Hi, From what I understood, dealer did something to the door, that stopped the rattle. It was not the umbrella. The craziest part was that the replacement panel after the led-strip failure had the same issue For the other issues that you have faced, I have them all but the "eurotunnel meltdown" and oil warnings. Overall it is a nice car, but it has that "unfinished" feeling to it

Skoda Kodiaq2, PHEV version feedback after a few months of use.
Hi all, I’ve been a proud owner of the Kodiaq PHEV for a few months now, and I’ll admit—this is my first brand-new car. While my experience has been a bit mixed, overall, I don’t have any “buyer’s remorse.” The Good: Electric range is fantastic. If you can charge at home, it’s more than enough for daily city driving. I’ve practically forgotten how to refuel with petrol, lol. Matrix headlights are a game-changer. Seriously, life-changing. Physical controls for AC and volume. Overall, it’s a comfortable and stylish car. The Not-So-Good: That said, in these few months, I’ve visited the dealership more often than I visit my mom. Though, to be fair, this might just be the “ironing-out period” where you notice small issues that need fixing. Here’s my list: Driver’s door high-pitched rattle – Only some family members could hear it (lucky me). Dealer fixed it… Driver’s door LED strip – Only partially lit. The dealer replaced the entire panel. The rattle returned with the new panel. Fixed again! 😅 Heating pipe misalignment – Rubbed against high-voltage cables, causing odd noises on rainy days during acceleration. Fixed. Faulty cruise control button – Replaced under warranty. Mystery rattles – From air vents and HUD area, only on rough roads. Dealer’s verdict: “state of technology limitations” (fancy way of saying “deal with it”?). Infotainment system – Feels like three different systems stitched together. Settings are scattered across multiple menus. Škoda Connect API – Integration with Home Assistant breaks the app due to overly strict limits. App reliability – Random lock/unlock statuses. Currently in a 19+ email thread with support. Final Thoughts: Despite the quirks, the Kodiaq PHEV is a great car. Most issues were resolved (or tolerated), and buying a new model always feels like an adventure. Would I recommend it? For now, yes—just brace yourself for a few dealer visits!
