Update on the pump issue, having replaced the fuel pump control unit with a genuine 2nd hand one off Ebay £54, it primed the fuel through with ease & fired up straight away. Previous fault codes included P0087, P3043, P304300, P3073, P308D, After replacing no fault codes were found. I've attached some photos incase it helps someone else. If anyone needs a replacement fuel pump (5Q0919050 P) I have a new Hella branded one available as it was not the problem but can't be returned as it was fitted. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for all the info there, my fuel pump started making a knocking sound in the tank, I replaced it with a spurious brand new one (volt) through Car Spares Dudley, this worked very well for 4 weeks then the same thing happened again, they replaced it under warranty for a Hella branded one, this didn't work properly either, I then purchased a 2nd hand genuine VAG pump which is quieter when priming but still not running. After some advice yesterday I'm about to order a J538 fuel pump control module which I hope will solve the issue

Hi all, Could anyone tell me the location of the fuel pump relay on this fuse board please. When switching on the ignition I'm not getting any noise from the pump but when I bleed the system (via OBD with Carista app) I can hear the pump work & fuel comes through, all be it not very quickly. I would appreciate any help as I've replaced the fuel pump & it only lasted 4 weeks before packing up again, this was replaced under warranty & now this one isn't working either, on top of that the battery is now running down so I'll remove it to give it a good charge before attempting anything else Thanks in advance

Hi there, I have joined this group as I have recently purchased my 1st Skoda, a 2015 Octavia Elegance 2.0 tdi with 172,000 m on it. From the initial test drive I was very impressed with the comfort & performance of it after owning several Volvos over the years. Although this is my 1st Skoda I also have a VW T4 camper which I have owned for 14 years now & have been very pleased with it. I have had a few issues with the Octavia but hopefully will get to the bottom of them soon and look forward to putting many more miles on the clock. Thanks for having me & catch up soon
