Hi, So yesterday i drove and some idiot was in a hurry so he tried to pass me, and bumped into my rear bumper. The damage require a full replacment even though it was in a very low speed because there is a hole in the bumper. My car have all the assists like side assist lane assit and rear reverse sensors. My question is what shpuld i verify after the garage is fixing it. Im taking it to the importer garage so they shpuld have all the parts need. i'm asking since in my previous car a Hyundai, i had a similar issue and when they connected the reverse sensor they didn't connect them in order, so for example if i would to put my hand on the left side the car showed like there is an obstacle on the right. So reverse sensor are easy to check there are 4 of them and i will use my hand, but what about side assist?.that only work in high speeds can't test it in the garage thank you

Hi, Today I entered my car and the phone didn't connect to the infotainment. I tried several times and got a message bluetooth needs to be turned on? I didn't know how to do it, so i did factory reset Now the bluetooth is on, found the menu but I can't discover it, it doesn't seem to transmit, checked with android and iphone. My best case bluetooth chip is fired for some reason. Any tips i can try before i take it to the garage? They set an appointment to 2/9 so i have some time

Hi, So first I just bought the car around 3 months ago. Here there is only an official importer so the infotainment should be original from factory. I'm not sure where it was imported from, but I do know it was manufactured in Czech republic, as it is stated in the car license. The car have the hoghest spec sold here, and I have all the following features. virtual cockpit, lane assist, side assit, front assist, reverse camera, cruise control, traffic sign recognition, travel assist, emergency breaking I think it only break on reverse So this is why I'm suprised. The car does NOT have built in GPS it relay on the android auto. I wanted to have the maos updated since I think where there is no sign on the road, and android auto connected it take the speed limit from the map. I also checked and it seems my VIN in the infotainment is not matching the car VIN, might be a security thing? Available codes on the car 00050000 - bluetooh as far as I know, Installed 00070900 - can't find it, not Installed 00070d00 - could be apple car play, Installed 00070e00 - might be android auto, Installed 00072e00 - can't find it, not Installed 1 more code Installed but not in the available list dunno how that is possible 00070700 So I think I will try to use the maps the skoda site say match my VIN worst case it doesn't work

Hi, So I tried to update the maps, I bought a USB C thumb drive, downloaded the file from here OI_P146_MRM_ISR_202525_Offline_Update.zip Then i formatted the drive and unzipped, connected to the car and turn the car on, nothing happened I plugged it in both USB C ports. I then went to Skoda update site, accordin to VIN there I see I need this file EI_S153_EU_202525_Offline_Update.zip which is 14Gb, the file from here is just 250M. 1. Why didn't it start the update? Do I need to o into maintenance mode? 2. Why the VIN number suggest a difference file then my country one from here? Thanks

Hi, So i just saw a tiktok about someone complaining that his toyota 2022 headlight burnt and he need to replace the entire unit since you can't chnlga e the bulb, and that's why he hates new cars. So i went to look on my car and it seems like you can't change the bulb you need to replace the qhole unit if it is burnt. Do you know how long it is supposed to last? It's not cheap to buy a unit and that's before the work to repace it you have to take out half the car

when i baught the car there were 3 options of car finish to buy, lower range, mid range and top range. i wanted to mid range but they couldn't supply it so i had to buy the top range. they say on their sale that the mid range come with a 8" infotainment and the top is with 9" i didn't measure it in anycase i guess there is no nav in it, since there is no button for nav on it

Hi, Does anyone know how to replace the AC filter on mk4? also are there 2 filters or just 1? i suspect there are 2 since there is the air flow system or what ever that called that supposed to clear the cabin air can't find youtube videos for mk4 there are only videos up to mk3 thanks in advance

Thank you, i have the 9" one, also i think it use the buolt in maps with android auto gps to identify speed limit where it can't read signs, i get errors when I'm on a new road and there are no signs, maybe that's why

Hi, Thanks for the detailed answer. I went over to the garage, the importer one, and they had a quick look, it was the end of the day. they said that i can just remove the insulation and it should be fine. the red stuff is rat poison, my best guess is that the rat picked it up somewhere and climbed into the engine bay as it was cozy for them. Regarding the GPS, they guy at the garage said the car does NOT have a built in GPS, and it's just getting nav data from the phone when connected to android auto. i can't say if he is right or wrong about it since he wasn't the guy that actually handle that stuff he was just a "service consultant" and my experience is that they usally lack technical knowledge. by the way, do you know how to remove that big plastic cover on the battery that cover the wires? i don't mean the plus cover thanks again

Hi, So i opened the engine bay to fill wssher fluid and found that a rat ate my battery insulation. Went to the garage and they said all wires seems intact and nothing to do, insulation not beed ina very hot xountry so i can just remove it, however i found this infront of the battery and i don't know if it is part of the car. I also having gps issues but they claim car have no built in gps and it's inly from Android auto. Which is strange as my phone works fine the issue only occur when using navigation on the car itself, also it's ok sometimes So what do you think? Is that red part of the car? Also how can i clean the pee and pop the rat left behind 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hi, So I just got my car yesterday, and I have some questions that I couldn't find an answer to in the manual 1. How can I see the total Km the car done? I can see trip but not the total 2. When I drive I have a beep warning when I get over 30 Km/h which is annoying, I was told it is configurable, however I can't find the menu where to do it, I found that a warning can be configured for snow tires but I guess that's not it 3. When I activate cruise control I can select between ACC and Travel assist, what is the difference? 4. I noticed that it will fully stop if there is a car in front of me that is stopped, but it will then issue a warning that i must manually break, is there a way to make so the car keep breaking 5. last thing is the radar view, when i get into parking or even on the road when the traffic is a bit dense it will automaticlly turn on a radar view of the car with front and back sensors, which is very nice, is there a way to show that screen with a press of a button? thank you
