It does indeed :) I know for a fact that when I get to the top of the hill on the A56 (Accrington Bypass) in recent weather I reach the top at a reported 2.5/2.6 since start and the entire downhill stretch can be done at 70mph with no energy input and just a smidge of regen (i use the travel assist/ACC) and by the bottom I'll be at 3, then after that its about 9 miles of mixed 30-50 roads. Although to be fair when I first got the car I was a bit paranoid/obsessed with the efficiency, but 6000 miles later I don't really give it a second thought any more :)

I live in the North West, have an elroq edition 60 and drive into and out of manchester daily from about 35 miles away, I have the AC set to 22C and if I pre condition while charging I get around 3-3.2 mi/kwh, without pre condition I get (in weather <8C) 2.7-3. The long steep pulls up the dual carraigeways/motorways kill the efficiency at 60-70mph but often i'm often sat in traffic. Im summer I am getting 3.5-3.8 mi/kwh

On the Elroq at least in the UK, the wheels don't have TPMS afaik, I think they use the wheel speed sensor in the hub to detect speed variances with the wheels to detect flat tyres. So it does help somewhat making replacement wheels a bit cheaper as no need to buy the sensors.

Just curious if this is normal and if so what it does? On my Elroq, Edition 60, when I put my foot to the floor, the accelerator pedal stops near the end, then I can press further through a click to go a little further. Was wondering if this is the same on other peoples cars and if so what does it do? Is it just a hard stop before max performance and pressing through the stop utilisies full power?

I haven’t found a way to turn this off either. I am still trying to understand when it enables, because the other week on the M60 I was in lane 1 on travel assist following a car at 50mph and it seemed to understand I was in amongst traffic at different speeds and was passing slower cars in lane 2. I’m assuming it is “smart” enough to know when you’re in traffic. I imagine that predictive cruise control won’t do think but you lose out on the other benefits of travel assist.

With the colder weather I can confirm that : With an Ohme Pro charger on Octopus Go. If/when the charging sessions completes, for me the cheap rate ends at 5:30. With the charging cable still connected, even if the Ohme app shows session ended, turning on the cabin pre heating will pull from the AC supply, in the app it will show conserving next to the battery status. Obviously this will cost the usual unit rate, but I was unsure if the Ohme charger would prevent the car from pulling AC out of the schedule.

I believe it's just max regen. I use it a lot around town, I find it easier in start stop traffic personally, then on the motorway I'll put it back into D.

I found the extra noise isolation of the edition well worth it. It’s whisper quiet, compared at least to my Old Ford Puma.

Another thing from this morning. Had to wait on the motorway for 20 minutes due to an incident. Travel assist was on and had the car stopped. After 5-10 minutes the car went into parked mode automatically. Neutral + parking brake applied. Wasn’t aware of a time limit but seems there is one.

I've had my Elroq for a week and a half now, so still getting to grips, but figured it might be useful if anyone discovers any tips, tricks or observations. Today I found out that Travel Assist won't knowingly undertake on the motorway. I was in lane 1 @70mph (clear no other cars) approaching someone in the middle lane going slower, the lane keeping/cruise control information window recognised the car in the middle lane and wouldn't get closer than the normally set cruise control distance. I didn't realise that the Elroq doesn't have TPMS sensors fitted to the wheels, it uses ABS information to warn of low tyre pressures. There isn't an icon that lights up on the driver information display to tell you your lights are on. You'll only see a yellow warning if the lights are turned off and the sensors recognise it's too dark out. E.g. if you turn off auto lights. The rubber charging port cover is great at reducing the amount of water getting into the charge port area, this is a separate purchase though but I'd recommend it.

Nice! They are greast to drive! My test drive was an 85 Edition, but in the end had to settle for an editon 60, power difference is noticeable!

Thank you @SurreyJohn appreciate the info. I think I’ve got the hang of it now. Last night the battery was at 65% I asked Ohme to charge to 80% by 05:30 with 30 minutes cabin pre conditioning. It set the schedule to be at 80% by 5:00 and then the 30 minutes of pre conditioning before 05:30. I had the target temperature plan set for 22c at 05:30 in the Skoda connect app. When 5:00 arrived the Ohme had finished charging to 80% and was sat saying scheduled. Then at around 05:15 the car started the cabin pre conditioning (it seems to know how long it needs to heat to the target temperature versus the exterior temperature). I could then see in the Ohme app the car was drawing 1.2-1.4 kWh for the pre conditioning. So it seems to be working fine straight off mains power presumably. Cheers for your advice and help!

So I’m a little further on in understanding the charging (cabin pre conditioning) feature. On the Ohme app, cabin pre conditioning is simply the charger turning on the charging regardless of the battery soc. for the selected amount of time, 5 minutes through 1 hour iirc. I think as well it’ll only do this within the cheap price cap if you have it selected. The only thing I need to check now is whether cabin pre conditioning from the Skoda app, in the absence of Ohme having a charging or pre conditioning schedule, uses the AC power or whether it’ll use the battery. Skodas site says it’ll use AC power but I’ll have to test this.

Sorry I meant the cabin pre conditioning. In the ohme app you can link the app to the car to get the actual soc of the car, so it changes the top up by % into charge to % as far as I know, e.g
