  1. I've had the same issue, once in forward gear, exiting a small roundabout within a right hand curved 30mph road, there were pedestrians on the footpath, which obviously caused the severe braking. I think the fact that the road curve meant the forward looking cameras projected to the footpath was the instigator. Not had this issue since. Also, like you, had it happen in reverse multiple times at low speed, not so much severe braking but violent braking, you really feel like you've hit an object. So bad that wife refuses to drive the car at all, which may not be a bad thing really 😇
  2. sounds like your radio is playing at the same time as apple or android car play. I've had this before, usually the first track on the mobile device. look for music app running on mobile device and stop it playing
  3. A bit crazy to have a printed manual which then refers us to the online manual to find out these things. Was reading the printed book which contained multiple references to the online manual. As a new owner since last July, I've found it simpler to search youtube for retailer/dealer instruction videos, pretty sure this way I didn't need to read the whole printed manual and saved a lot of time.
  4. This morning, I had music playing from the usb stick and a track playing from my phone at the same time, even though i have disabled apple carplay. 4 months and 2500 miles driven, I still cant figure this out
  5. 5 series tourer seats actually fold flat. Similar in dimensions and spec to the superb, but might suit to roll back a few years to when computers/software didn't control virtually everything in the car. I'd consider it if the was a well looked after car available. Older than 5 years will negate the surcharged annual road taxes
  6. Here was me thinking my wheels are a lot more simple than my beemer wheels. I'm more inclined to think that there is more dust generated, maybe products/parts not quite as well made. I do try to limit braking to a minimum by downshifting using the paddle gears, I basically drive like a granny now lol, guess old age doesn't come cheap ðŸĪŠ
  7. Hi folks, 2024 model, petrol, auto, 3000 miles on the clock. Only had the car for 6 weeks but feel that the wheel rims are constantly covered in brake dust. Only driven 50/60 miles per week, not driven hard by any means, but the dusty wheels really take the shine away from the car. I'm comparing it to my previous 5 series which i had for 5 years, from 1000 miles old. Does anyone else experience this? Hand washed and tyre shine used each time
  8. Hi, thanks for letting me join. Just switched up from a 2019 5 series estate to 2024 Superb estate. Definitely a different drive altogether and lots of infotainment stuff to learn my way through. Looking forward to shortcutting the manual via these pages. Happy driving folks, btw, still cant find my comfy seating position after 3 weeks lol
