1.6 cr, CAYC. glow plug light flashing and oil pressure sensor light intermittent
@Alasdair1 no the oil light is intermittent not on ignition. The coil light is on, on ignition.

@mac11irl the glow plug light isn't intermittent it comes on as soon as the ignition is turned on to pos 2 then start up and remains flashing. I can clear the code on the reader and the EML disappears but the GPL remains flashing. Do you think a dirty MAF sensor may affect this? This is very frustrating as I use the car everyday and I don't want to make things worse but literally cannot afford to take it to a garage currently. I'm saving up up to get it sorted but I use the car for work and need it everyday. What I don't want to do is spend £200 on a forced regen and the fault remains and line the fellas pocket while he takes shots in the dark at what the issue could be.

Thanks for you replies The red oil light comes on flashing engine off, on the MFD. then just disappears almost like halfway through the warning. The car seems down on power but not like a limp mode, it's still pretty responsive and gets up to speed reasonably well. I bought the car about a month ago after my greenline broke down and all of a sudden I'm getting these issues. The oil level in the car is full of not a little high. I took to a garage they said dpf regen £200 and they need to do an oil and filter change at the same time. @mac11irl I'll check out your thread. Thanks for your advice @Breezy_Pete what would cause low oil pressure like that? Thanks again

1.6 cr, CAYC. glow plug light flashing and oil pressure sensor light intermittent
Hiya guys, hoping for some help I have the oil pressure warning light come in while driving then go away again. Also have glow plug warning light flashing and eml on. Code p242f - exhaust gas temp sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 3. Code doesn't clear, it clears the eml but flashing glow plug light remains Someone suggest it missed a dpf regen and need to force a regen. Anyone have any ideas?

Some valid points made. I feel like the stock air box and filter works perfectly well. Deflap air box and vrs intake pipe will help keep it cool. I feel like on long journeys, an induction kit would get too hot regardless of the amount of ducting you send air through. The stock design is a good one, just take the sock off the filter. Perhaps the intake pipe could be smoother and vent to the atmosphere for the crank case vent, I imagine it would help responsiveness. Need a remap to really unlock the power hidden.

I didn't have any issues but I'm not expert. The car ran fine after the system understood the maf readings. Can hear the turbo though, I left the bottom half of the air box in and the small cone basically tucked into that quite well. Somewhere I feel like the stock filter without the sock takes more air in. So I would consider and induction kit like the one Darkside Developments do lol it's pricey, but includes the pipework and sorts the breather out.

Air box mod is cutting the flap out the stock air box. Nothing major but it improves air flow. I toyed with a small induction cone (same mpgs) but I feel like it lacks capacity, the stock one is bigger. Liked the sound of the turbo though 😅.

I just bought an estate 1.6cr (105)!CACY I get 55-60+ the plus depending on how careful I am driving. If you sit a 2k on the motorway doing 65-70mph I can push it up. Mine is currently not modified apart from the air box, I did a little cutting and smoothing and changed the filter

Stiffening up rear suspension to carry / pull more weight
Hiya, I have a 2014 fabia estate, 1.6cr and a 2012 greenline 2, which is currently off the road as the water pump gave up and the belt slipped. Have yet to investigate the actual damage. I use my car for work, I am a gardener. So I bought the same car but with a beefier engine, I have a fixed towbar fitted which I did myself and pull a small trailer. I get 2 bags of green waste and the tools in the back no problem. Since owning the trailer I put weight in that too and reduce the weight in the back. My question is regarding suspension upgrades I can do to stiffen up the back to increase the amount of load I can pull. I've a few ideas, but need some sound advice from people who know about the fabia's. I read that the greenline has lower suspension but the ride is also stiffened. Would the suspension set up from the greenline be an idea? Or the scout, which sits higher? Or a sensible idea or combination? I've seen some of the old builds on here and I know there are some highly intelligent people here who can help. Let me know thoughts ✌️

Hi I'm new here.
Hi guys, I'm new here obligatory introduction. So I own two Skoda estates, a green line 2 currently off the road due to a water pump failure and thus cambelt came loose. And I replaced it with a 2014 fabia 1.6cr (105) as my workhorse. I've read lots of topics here, some great builds! I'm looking to make a few modifications to my car and I'm here for helpful advice. Nice to meet you ✌️
