  1. Warrior193, no its petrol as above, the suitable oil was £22 for 1 ltr, thankfully its not really my problem as its a lease car, but while oil consumption was expected and acceptable when i was in the motor trade in the 70’s, it should not be these days, not with the materials and machine processes that modern engines are made with now, as i said in a previous post, lots of new vehicles over the years, petrol and diesel and this is the first one thats need oil between services.
  2. Checked the level on the digital readout on the screen yes, the car tells you when it needs some, just comparing this car to others ive had over the years, none of which have needed oil between services until the miles have got towards 100,000. As it will be being serviced every 18 weeks or so its regularly being changed anyway.
  3. 9 weeks and 11500 miles in, just had to put 1ltr of (expensive!) oil in to bring the level back up (1.5 hybrid) mostly motorway miles and always allowed to warm up from new, anyone else needed to top up ? Not had to do it on any of the other new cars i’ve had over the last few years.
  4. All new cars are the same now, some are easier to turn off, but all will reset every time the car is turned on again.
  5. Not engine running 😂 but you are able to open the filler cover as you are driving into the pumps or before you switch off, if there is a powered valve in the filler neck as suggested by nony74 that would explain it.
  6. Following on from nony74 post, today I turned the car off before opening the filler cover and it refuelled ok with no issues, so that may be the solution.
  7. Didn’t think I had done that, but I need fuel today so will test 👍
  8. Its a lease company lease car so changing it is not an option and it wont be going back in until its due a service, which will be every 5 to 6 months, unless something bad happens ! I am more interested in others experiences with it, seems mines not the only one.
  9. Hi, i have one thats 5 weeks old and 5500 miles in, i have just started a thread along similar lines, the brakes are so inconsistent and generally poor, thought it might just be mine, but obviously not.
  10. Hi, i now have a Kodiac IV hybrid as my company car, 5 weeks old and already 5500 miles, so getting lots of use. Couple of things i have concerns about. The brakes don't seem to be up to the job, i thought it might be because they were new and would bed in, but sometimes i really have to stand on the pedal to get it to stop, i doubt weather they are strong enough to bring any form of anti lock into operation, and secondly, several times now i haven't been able to refuel, the pump nozzle clicks off immediately, constant ‘clicking just fills up the filler neck, with the fuel not going down to the tank, then the next few times it fills with no issues. Anyone else had anything similar ? Thanks
