Rear pads
Hi! For your 2024 Skoda Octavia Mk4.5 facelift 1.5 TSI, the correct rear brake pads depend on the brake system fitted to your car. You could consider Ridex as a budget-friendly option, but I’d recommend checking compatibility by VIN or brake PR code before ordering, as there can be different brake setups.Hope this helps!

Autodoc - avoid!!!
To be fair, I’ve ordered from Autodoc a few times and never really had any problems with them. Guess it depends on the situation, but I can see why you’re frustrated, especially with return postage costing that much! Definitely something worth checking before ordering, just to avoid getting stung like that.

Superb 3V3 tailgate struts - Beware Autodoc
That sounds really frustrating, especially if the site itself confirmed that the parts were suitable after you entered the car details and registration. I’ve seen quite a few mixed opinions when searching for an autodoc review, so I’d definitely double-check compatibility with the VIN before ordering anything that can have several different versions. The return postage situation is also worth keeping in mind. Hopefully you manage to get the refund sorted without any further hassle.

AUTODOC, eBay, Amazon, or any specialty stores where do you usually have fewer issues finding the right fit?
I started restoring the interior of my old car and now I realize there are way more little details than I thought At first, I just wanted to replace the floor mats, but now I’ve moved on to the door handles, trim, door components, and all sorts of little things. I found some parts on AUTODOC, and RIDEX has a few as well. I also came across goCORE, but I don’t know anything about it yet. The most important thing for me right now isn’t the lowest price, but making sure the part actually fits my specific model. I’ve already ordered a universal part once that looked great in the photo but turned out to be practically useless in the car.

Ridex Parts any Good?
I've used a couple of Ridex parts on my Fabia, mainly smaller items, and honestly haven't had any problems so far. Fit was good and they've been working fine. For £40 compared with £100, I'd probably give them a try for non-critical parts. I wouldn't necessarily choose them for brakes or other safety-related stuff though.

Doing own service!
I’ve used Ridex parts from Autodoc a few times and honestly haven’t had any problems. Had a service kit from them on an older car and everything fitted fine and worked as it should. For a Kodiaq with 100k on it I’d probably go for Mann or Bosch for the filters, or Ridex.
