  1. This has caught my eye!! and I work in Preston

How does it charge? Micro USB or USB C? or is it wireless charging?

But my car needs some work doing so funds are not quite there yet!!

I wear a normal Casio, so what is a "smar****ch" actually like and what can you do with one?

  2. My Focus came with some budget tyres  - Event and Landsail (might have been one other) It wasn't too bad when I inititally bought the car, then in the wet you could feel you couldn't push it

It got to the point where it felt a bit nervous to really push it in the dry too

I got a set of Continental Premium Contact 5 put on as for the size there was nothing in it for Mid Range to High End. She certainly handles better now.

The last I bought a set was Nexens for my Fiesta and they were great.

Some posts here have the right advice buying budget - just do your research then you can get bargain performers.

  3. I cant find the edit post!

Budget tyres have come a long way in development. I had some decent budgets on my Favorit/Felicia once and my sisters old Micra but that's going back years ago!!

Now I stick to some decent mid rangers.

It depends on how enthusiastically you drive too

  4. When I got my Focus (53 plate) in 2017 she had a mix of Autogrip and Landsails.

But this year she was a bit understeery (especially in the wet) so you had to thread the eye of the needle and ease her into bends.

I changed to Continental Premium Contact 5

Now looking to get on some road trips  - after I get her fixed as someone ran into the back of her :(

  5. Afternoon Briskodians

The time has come for my sister to replace her dying 2004 Microbe (needs the timing chain replacing) to something with a bit more goodies too

I have seen a Suzuki Swift (2007) which looks good but the ad says the speedo doesn't work.

Reading some online forums it could be a sensor or the instrument cluster.

Someone on here used to have a Swift?

Basically I need to know if it's going to be a dear fix and if the Swift is a bargain buy.

  6. I rewatched that, Josh Cook had to miss the chicane to avoid an accident. He clearly had the faster car.

Honda do well at Thruxton as its a handling circuit and the Hondas carry speed through the bends

I think I'll have to book tickets for Snetterton and Knockhill

Are you going to the 60th anniversary at Silverstone? the Volvo 850 Estate will be there

  7. Ford have recently launched ST Line Trim which I can't really see the point since they have Zetec and Zetec S for the sporty trims on their cars

Audi have had S-Line trim for about 10 years now? so their normal cars have the sporty looks and equipment of an S level car.

Mercedes have "AMG LINE" so their normal cars look like the AMG sporty models

    and VW have R-Line

    Not sure about BMW

  8. That is problems galore!!

Must have been unlucky with this Clio!!

If you've got the space......break it for spares, you'll prob recoup some of the money spent if the bits are in good condition.

Cause if you scrap it.....it's gonna get broken up/recycled.

or Gumtree it as a donor car

If it comes to it.....then fleaBay it.
