  1. Could be worse... I'm sure the driver and passenger of this M3 had to go and change their heavily soiled undergarments after this lucky escape!

Thanks to Jason for organising it once again, had a good time out on track in the R32. The Briskoda session as always was the best, the session I had in the afternoon was interesting to say the least. Not sure I'll do another one of those, far too many close calls for my liking.

I'm uploading my video, but as always it's taking hours!

  2. Looks lovely Simon

Turini's are the perfect wheel for the Mk5. I'm biased as I have them on my GTI.

H&Rs will make a subtle difference, but I would consider whether you'd eventually jump to coilovers anyway, so could be better going with them from the start.

I've got H&Rs on my MK5 GTI and they are very good. Saying that, after nearly three years, I've just bought some coilovers.

Would deffo recommend a Miltek Non-Res on there - unleash the noise!!! B)

Cheers Gareth! The Weitec's are still going strong on the fabia by the way!

I went to coilovers with the fabia as it was still ridiculously high even with Eibach springs on, but the golf is a better ride height to start with anyway, so I feel the H&R's would give the perfect height I'm after!

Only thing I'm a little weary of is the tyres are giving a little rubbing in hard cornering on the rear end already, so I don't want to lower it and have issues. Are your Turini's a 42 offset as well? They stick out a little further than I was hoping! Or could be the Michelin's which have a huge rim protector on them whereas the Pirelli's on the front wheels don't.

Do you mind PM'ing me with a pic of your car on the H&R's?

  3. Here we have my set of 4 standard Fabia vRS wheels.

They are in good overall condition, but have been repainted at home in the past, so the finish isn't what a paint shop would do! They also come with vRS centre caps.

Two tyres are Bridgestone Turanza's both with around 3mm of tread. The other two are Hankook's one with 6mm of tread and the other with 3mm.

I'm looking for £160 collected from the Stroud/Gloucester area.

    Thanks for looking :)

  4. I'm still planning to go on Saturday Jason, I'll give you a text Friday night or something and meet you somewhere.

I'm not expecting mega stuff from the R32, I've read a few figures on the internet, but there doesn't seem to be many from the UK. Also, I'm not too sure on how DSG will cope, could just use launch control I guess :)

  5. See you all there! Jason, you can add me to the 'bring tickets with me list'
