Hi, I am keen to purchase and fit a rear view camera on my 2016 hatch Vrs and would prefer the moving guidelines and washer function. I have seen a view different options and systems available however I would certainly appreciate some feedback from this group what I sould purchase. I have VCDS so can code things. It might also be worth noting that I will also be fitting a tow bar so will be extending the Can bus system for the tow bar module so is there a smart way to prevent two Can bus wiring looms going to the rear of the car? I have recently purchased a very well equipped 2016 Vrs and was looking retrofit folding mirrors. does anyone know if I would need the mirrors, door looms and the switch for this to work? not sure if the door modules would also be required? any member who knows the items required I would be very much appreciated along with part numbers. Hello All, I have recently taken delivery of 13 plate current shape 2.0tdi Octavia in Elegance trim in race blue with the optional 18" wheels and heated front seats, I am very impressed with the car and all its spec, I have previously owned 2 Vrs diesels in the past and know that Skoda's are great cars and good quality. I would like to know if there are any easy extras that could be retro fitted that I could consider doing to further enhance the car. I would love to have the heated front screen & adaptive cruise control but can only assume these would be costly trying to retro fit, does any of you guys know if the exterior mirrors fitted to the L&K model dim the same as the rear view mirror and if so would this be an easy job. Also could you guys advise if the dealer can code any extras for example cornering fogs and having the passenger mirror dip function when selecting reverse gear to help when parking. Your thoughts are much appreciated. Regards Mr B

Hi Softscoop, you are right I should not have to enter the radio code as I remember on my first Octavia vrs when I changed the original cd/radio for the first Sat Nav then even a Columbus unit when I traded the car in the original cd/radio was refitted and the car recognised it with no problem, I have also tried removing the radio and disconecting it from the car and refitting with no luck, the battery was first removed for approximately 10-15 mins, I have had a word with local dealer and they have asked me to bring the car in which I will do next week. I am using the numbered buttons on the radio to attempt to change each of the numbers on the screen to display the code given from nay Skoda dealer then I should be in a position to hold down the forward button to allow the radio to accept the code, if other words if I press the button marked as number 1 the number 1 on the screen does not change no mater how many time I press the button marked as number 1 and also if I press the button marked as number 2 the next 0 from the display does not change which you would think if I pressed number 2 three times the code on the display would indicate 1300. Hope this information helps

Hello all, quick question if I may, the girlfriends Fabia Elegance 2006 which has the Symphony fitted required the battery removed the other day due to low power steering fluid level and when I refitted the battery the car did not recognise the radio which is strange as the manual states it is equipped with comfort coding and does not require the code to be entered, after getting the code from my friendly Skoda dealer I have now found that the radio does not allow me to change the code from 1000 after the safe message goes out, am I doing something wrong or has the unit gone faulty after the battery was reconnected? Your comments will be much appreciated on this subject. Regards

Hi vRS Carl, I could be interested in the stearing wheel as I currently have a 2010 model Vrs, it is the the manual diesel model so the padels would be no good to me but the mutifunction buttons would be, could you tell me if I would also require an upgrade to my steering controller and if any other things would be required for it to work, the car is also fitted with the columbus sat nav and it is voice control as well. I have had the same problem and as stated both the pre FL and FL are the same car the only difference is the panel gap between the boot and the roof are different on both cars and technicaly the spoiler will clash with the boot when open, you can either profile the spoiler to fit or mount the spoiler slightly back to give clearence when the boot is open.

Hello All, I have decided to sell my iphone 3g 8gb in black, the screen is in perfect condition and work great, it is currntly running the 4.1 software and I beleive it may be locked to o2, the phone will be two years old in march next year and can send proof of this, the back of the phone has a small number of light scratches but if you were to use this phone in a cover like I did you would not notice these imperfections, the screen has just had a new screen protector fitted and the charger and original box along with the instruction are included, earphones are missing. Hi Mate was it an estate FL VRs just south of Carlisle as that may have been me as I have an Anthracite one and I to have not seen many FL VRs around, one red on around Dumfries and apart from that only one sitting at dealers, we could all see more after the 10 plates are released.

I am with you on this one as I remember a member on here fitting L&K mirrors to his pre FL Vrs which included auto dimming and puddle lights, I do remember he needed to add some wiring to the door looms but if you could source mirrors and door looms from an L&K or an elegance I am sure it would work and if the parts were from an L&K then you would have auto dimming as well assuming you have an auto dim rear view mirror.
