I have just taken delivery of a 72 plate Vrs hatch coming from a very well equipped 66 plate Vrs. I am very impressed by the new technology and spec on the mk4. The reason for this post is to find out about retrofitting a passenger auto dim exterior mirror as the drivers one looks to be auto dim but will find out when I drive at night. the other thing is confirming what I need for this retrofit as well. Furthermore I see members fitting the blind spot detection so any info on that would be greatly appreciated. I am still finding my way around the technology but all in all the car is great and I am glad I jumped 6 years younger. regards Bennie

Dear Members, I will be renewing my front shocks on my Vrs Tdi shortly which has the DCC system fitted. as you can imagine the price for these replacement shocks is not cheap. Main Dealer £350 each. TPS £300 each for the same item. the question I have is these are manufactured by Monroe and have found these shocks online with the electronic system for much less so am I correct in thinking I may as well get them from Monroe as there are the same part anyway without a Skoda sticker and much more expensive 🤔 I also see Bilstein do a couple with this system however they are as expensive as the Skoda prices but have heard good response about these and they may bea superior part. any thoughts on this would be greatly received. meanwhile I will do further research on part numbers to confirm there are indeed compatible. Hi, I am keen to purchase and fit a rear view camera on my 2016 hatch Vrs and would prefer the moving guidelines and washer function. I have seen a view different options and systems available however I would certainly appreciate some feedback from this group what I sould purchase. I have VCDS so can code things. It might also be worth noting that I will also be fitting a tow bar so will be extending the Can bus system for the tow bar module so is there a smart way to prevent two Can bus wiring looms going to the rear of the car? I have recently purchased a very well equipped 2016 Vrs and was looking retrofit folding mirrors. does anyone know if I would need the mirrors, door looms and the switch for this to work? not sure if the door modules would also be required? any member who knows the items required I would be very much appreciated along with part numbers.
