This workshop manual for the Fabia mk 1 is brilliant if I wanted to strip an engine down but I need one for the braking system.
  1. Hy all. I don't know if this is related but driving home to Sheffield from Lincoln yesterday as I approached the M1 roundabout from the A57 the brake pedal went almost to the floor, one quick pump gave me enough to slow down and negotiate the roundabout. When I got home after gentle braking and steady driving I checked the master cylinder expecting it to be empty or very low but to my surprise it was up to the marks. I had the brakes "done" this summer including a new master cylinder and rear slave cylinder. I suspected it may be the servo but as said earlier that would make the pedal hard, I haven't had time to look for leeks at each wheel yet so any ideas ? thanks Tony Fabia Mk 1 1.4 mpi AQW.
  2. Spot on m8 it's more than a tw4t of a job it's virtually impossible without breaking them I finally found the break just where you said in the connecting tube to the tailgate Thank You.
  3. My '96 Flairline number plate lights have stopped working. I have replaced the bulbs and still don't work and can't get the unit out of the tailgate. Haynes manual says " with a small flat bladed screwdriver gently prize out the unit". I've tried with no luck, I don't want to force it and risk breaking it, does anyone know how to get the units out of the tailgate please. Tone
  4. Thanks anewman I got the part from Ebay at 60% less than the dealer price It hasnt arrived yet but will update when it does. Thanks again. Tone
  5. Does anyone know the part number for temp control sensor for my ,96 Favorit. It starts first time as always from cold but wont start when it is at running temp. I read somewhere it could be TCS so disconnected it and it started after spinning over a few times. I have found a web site selling TCSs at reasonable prices but need the part number. can anyone help ? Tone.
