rwbaldwin's post in Octavia Tdi timing help needed was marked as the answerIt wouldn't fire because you were 180° out. There are two positions of the camshaft that correspond to TDC on the crankshaft (as it's a four stroke engine) and you locked the crank/cam at the wrong one. Unfortunately, it's possible to insert the locking bar in both positions :( AIUI, you then moved the pump 180° from 7 o'clock to 1 o'clock. This is the problem. If you had left it at 7 o'clock or rotated the crank another rev until TDC appeared again (and the hole would be at 1 o'clock) all would have been OK. After all it was running fine before you changed the belt.Counting from the belt end, which cylinder has the injector with the needle lift sensor?

rwbaldwin's post in Intercooler question was marked as the answerWe have a winner 1J0 145 803 T is a direct replacement for 1J0 145 803 S, so you have a matching ic and sensor. The only real requirement is that the two match.

rwbaldwin's post in Drivers door locked - sledgehammer? was marked as the answerThe most likely cause is that the wire to the external door handle is over-tensioned. If you pull and hold the external handle, you should be able to release the block on end of the wire from the handle. With a bit of luck you will be able to open the door from the inside

rwbaldwin's post in Fuse F51 Octavia2 was marked as the answerECU is the Engine Control Unit. The box that contains glowplug controller can hold 6 'relays', labelled R1 to R6. The glowplug controller is position R2. It is likely to be the only item in the box. It looks like a relay, but it has a electronic controller inside.
