  1. I back flushed with a garden hose with the nozzle detached. Partial success, probably end up buying a new one, it’s heated so I think it will be about £20. No idea what the problem was.
  2. The nozzle is made from POM plastic which is an engineering grade, and very durable. Able to withstand very cold temperatures.
  3. The video posted was not the correct one for my Fabia 3 2019. I stumbled on the solution which is that the elbow is secured with a split black plastic collar. Detachment just means putting a fingernail in the split and prising it open simultaneously gently pulling on the nozzle. Easy when you know how! The heated electric connection has a sprung clip which is easily removed. Hope this helps someone.
  4. Thanks that’s enormously helpful, looks like a simple 180 degree turn. Had to be something simple. Don’t know why there is a partial blockage, always used VW screen wash. Live in a hard water area though.
  5. Hello, Advice please, I want to disconnect a nozzle from the fitting attached to the hose. The nozzle body has a spigot with an undercut diameter to prevent the hose coming loose. The connector is a white plastic elbow with a black collar. I doubt it just pulls off, but I cannot see an obvious way for detachment. Obviously I didn’t want to break anything so need to know the correct way. It also has a heating element, this I think just needs pinching of the connector block for removal. Anyone know when the heating nozzle heats up? Really grateful for any help. (2019 Fabia SEL)
  6. Thanks for that my old discs are 256 diameter, so looks like 7 mm Allen key is the one.
  7. Confused as to which tool for removing pads. Some people state 7 mm, I have also come across Torx T40 or T45. Which is correct as I like to have the right tools to hand before starting the job.
  8. Hi, new to the forum, have patience with me! Looking to change front pads and discs on my 2004 1.2 47kw Fabia. I like to have all tools to hand, struggling to find out what socket is on caliper guide pins that are removed for access to pads. I seem to have 3 choices, 7 mm Allen, Torx T40 or T45. Any kind person know what is the right one, thanks!
  9. 2004 Fabia Estate Nearside rear door worst, offside rear not too bad, front nearside a bit, drivers dry. A limited solution is to try to prevent water getting into the door in the first place from the outside glass seal. Try silicone based spray on the rubber seal, this gets the water to bead and not to flow into the door.
