I’ve not used Off Road Mode in my Scout, mine is a manual if that relevant. If it snows again I will test it.

Incoraging to read people’s exeriance with FWD and winter tyres. I’m considering replacing my 4x4 SE L (with winter tyres) with a vRS 245 (with winter tyres). Sounds like I’d be ok for the average dusting. If it’s really bad I can use the Scout!

Mick,
Is this roof box still for sale?

A true Superb Scout would be amazing.

I get 41.6 mpg (calculated using an app) from my 2011 CR TDI Scout. I drive a mixture of motorways and around town but mainly around town. I can get nearer 50 on a long motorway run.

Yes please to pictures too as not actually seen a 'new' Scout on the roads yet.
I saw a denin blue one this morning!

Had the car for a few days now and it's great, the Amundsen sat nav is a big improvement over the last one, the hands free phone and voice control are good.
The power geez, when it's run in it will be scary and by then the MPG will hopefully have improved, only done around 160mls @ 36mpg on maxi !
In Corrida red it's a Fire Engine
I'm in Sheffield but often around the Worksop area so I'll keep an eye for you.

It says we like to do niche things like rock climbing, which I do, so thats accurate. Does anyone on here bobsleigh?

Some good information. I'm looking to order in the new year so I'll be keen for any updates.

Great to see real pictures of a new Scout and in the same colour I was thinking of too.

I get around 42 mpg from my iPhone app. That is mostly town driving with a boot full of test gear for work.

Hi
Does anyone know if you can disable the automatic boot locking feature using VCDS? This is were when boot is opened via the boot only button, it will automatically lock when you close it. My car is a FL Scout if that helps.
Thanks in advance.

Gave the Scout a good maintenance wash, it will need re-sealing in spring.

My wheels and tyres, the standard 16" steels with Caddy centre caps on my Scout.

Drove from Sheffield to Lincoln in it. Scout + winter tyres = excellent combination!

Used it to transport hamsters for my girlfriend. She is looking after them for her housemates over Christmas....

Mine is in the near side 'estate window' (the window between the C and D pillar). Anyone know is proper name?
-
I feel your pain, had mine removed by a lorry, came off completely at the hinge.

Got the winter wheels swapped for free thanks to Bickertons and given it a wash. Not looking to bad as the jetseal went on in the autumn.

Thanks for the replies, I think I've been confused by the marketing! I was considering CG New Look Trim Dressing as it works on tyres too
engine bay cleaning.

I’ve cleaned mine with an APC and rinsed with a hose on the ‘sprinkler’ setting.
