  1. I did indeed - sorry if I didn't make myself clear, I couldn't remember what they were called when I posted that.
  2. I didn't say that people don't have success with it, just that I wouldn't recommend it. Bearing in mind the fact that the OP hadn't mentioned any problems, there's not the preponderance of HG issues there is with some models, and that he'd since posted a picture showing that the muck hadn't reoccurred after a clean and decent run, it would seem pointless to add any gunge. It is worth considering, also, that your ZR may have carried on for another 2 years and 25K *without* adding any K-Seal...
  3. Or not. There is no sense putting any gunge into the cooling system when it's not needed. And no, I'm not 'anti-K-Seal' or 'anti-additive'. I just wouldn't advise putting what is, essentially, gunge into a working cooling system - OP pointed out no coolant or oil loss.
  4. Probably easiest just to get one from the dealer... It'll only be pennies :-)
  5. Luckily, I don't have to decide. It's one of the unfathomable rules of British English that schedule doesn't follow the same rules as school, scholar, schitzophrenia or schism. I never suggested it was logical, just that it was true.
  6. I know; I speak English, French, some Russian, some Italian, and some German, so I'm well aware of the differences in language rules and pronunciations. If we can't even be bothered to learn how to speak our own language properly (accepting that the rules may not be straightforward, or even based in logic; I can't deny how illogical 'shed-yule' is) then what hope is there.
  7. I don't deny that at all - but at the end of the day, I'm not American. I'm British, and so I speak British English, as should the BRITISH Broadcasting Corporation's employees.
  8. Yes indeed. That is incredibly irritating.
  9. Not at all. I'm suggesting that people should be taught how to pronounce words properly, without applying the simplistic American English method of 'one spelling, one pronunciation'.
  10. I've just come across another example of this phenomenon which I'd forgotten about; people who replace 'I' with 'a'. 'A went shopping and A bought a car' Even writing that I can't help using a capital A, although most witless chavs wouldn't bother. Another irritation I keep coming across - 'been' instead of 'being'. What's that about? This thread could drive me, literally, to drink.
  11. How is it any quicker to not use proper spelling and grammar? As for 'why bother'; perhaps because it's helpful to other people in making meanings clear and posts more readable.
  12. It's the same lack of education that leads to the situation whereby the BBC, once a shining example of correct English, now allows its correspondents to say 'sked-yule' instead of 'shed-yule' and 'vun-rubble' instead of 'vuln-er-able'. As someone who works in a professional services business, I find it astonishing that so few of my supposedly well educated colleagues are able to properly use, or even care about, such simple things as apostrophes. In the last few months I must have written forty or fifty thousand words of articles, white papers, and the like; language is something I use every day, and I do not understand for the life of me why people can't follow a few simple rules.
  13. 1. Anything can leak from a core plug - normally it's coolant, but if the casting happens to have a core into an oilway, then it'd be oil behind it. Unusual though. 2. Coincidence, possibly. Either that or if the head's been machined and rebuilt, it may have had the core plugs replaced for some reason, and one's not been fitted properly.
  14. No bother. Drop me a PM if I can help out.
  15. I don't charge, I don't do this to make money, spannering's a hobby for me - I'm just a very well equipped hobbyist Sadly Crook's a little out of the way for me at present though, I was hoping you might be nearer to Durham. I could probably get over some time next week but that's probably not much help to you is it?
  16. So where's the car at the moment?
  17. Have you had the codes read/do you have VCDS/Vagcom? If not, I notice you're in Durham, so I could probably help out with that.
  18. Spend time together as a couple??? Are you INSANE???
  19. This thread has to win the award for 'most misinterpretable thread title'. On the subject of your bong, however, it's not just a 'it's cold out, beware of ice' noise is it?
  20. And that's why they call you 'Boss'
  21. Have you had a look at the sponsors and the local reviews subforums? Perhaps there's someone nearby you could use?
  22. My wife would like that. I'd need a different tack.
  23. Another vote for 'man up' here! (no offence intended - and I'm aware of the irony that in the same situation, I'd probably end up giving in to the wife too!)
