  1. Is that the Pablo Picasso special edition?

Correct, but did you know that the full and precise name of that car's edition is:

Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso special edition?

  2. ouch! Hope you get it sorted out and no injury to yourself.

now its dealer and insurance company business

the fact is that the speed was about only 60 km/h, but my wife could not get out of the icy trails and the vrs made it's move towards the tree, hit it and made a sudden 360 turn. In that moment I as a rear passenger hit my head towards the rear door pilar. And now the doctors gave me one week off. Wife and the kid who were in front are ok. Interesting, but none of the air bags went off :wonder:

  3. Yes the sidelights in most cars are W5W

    Carl:thumbup:

    thanx man a lot

found a pack of W5W bulbs at home and started the operation :D

well, I've never imagined that changing parking lights could be so dificult, but I managed it, of course with the help of neighbour's surgeon scissors :D since I've not got long-nosed pliers.

    thanx again

  4. thanks folks

from the Mater's overview with pictures I assume that regular lights have plastic back cover held by two metal clips, but xenons have the same clips plus at least two screws.

this evening will try to "operate" my octy again

sorry, had the question about the bulb itself - if I ask in the shop for W5W is it enough to get the right bulb?

  5. Hi,

I've got defective front left parking light on my vRS. Thanx to the Briskoda member Mater's  instructions I've pulled out the headlight unit, but I was not sure I want to unscrew the back cover of xenons where I suppose the parking light bulb would be.

    1) Am I correct that I need to unscrew that cover to change the bulb?

    2) Should be there any "click" after you reinstall the headlight unit and push back in that black hook? I have a feeling that the hook is not in it's right position.

    Thanx folks for your comments

  6. Hi folks,

Last weekend had a dead battery and wanted to tow my vRS just a bit to get it started, but unfortunately could not remove the cover in the front grill where the loop is supposed to be screwed in. The owner's manual also didn't help, 'cause that operation is explained only about the regular octy :(

Can anybody give a hint how it should be done properly with no damages  and which side of the grill - right or left? Hope this thing on UK octys is on the same side :)

    Thanx a lot.

  7. This morning had to use the spare tire which was untouched like for 3.5 years. I was surprised that the spare is full size, but more surprised I was about the sticker on it that says about the driving speed - no more than 80 km/h

Thought these stickers come only with thin spares?

  8. Laser detection is useless. Not even worth installing. Had a ticket issued to me once by a handheld laser unit. Less than 1 second and everything was over.

thanx God in my country there are no laser radars, however another problem arises. cops just got newest russian Iskra 1D pop radars (most of the detectors don't detect them in the lowest frequecy, but escort x50 euro and Valentine1 detects them) and newest Stalker radars that work in K band - the same band supermarket sliding doors work that makes practically impossible to use radar detector in the city

  9. Hi Folks,

Would appreciate to know your experience finding the best area in Octy for mounting a radar detector. Since they are not allowed in my country, I've an idea to mount it close to the rear window so that the cops woun't notice I have one (all side-rear windows are dark tinted). Just need to instal a power cord with a switch next to the driver's seat.

    Thanks for ideas.

    :)

  10. You should see the headlight move on startup ...

mine does self-levelling only when startup is made on plane surfaces and never after the overnight parking on the ramp with tail down ;)

ya, and does anyone experience the same that at night every 5th driver flashes with full headlights, telling that yours (low beam) are too bright? have checked the level at dealer and it was ok
