  1. Thanks AG Falco but my mate has got VCDS so gonna do it tomorrow for me. I'll be back if there's any problems though 🙂
  2. I've changed the battery on my Mk3 Fabia (EFB for EFB) and have a couple of questions. New battery is Varta and the Ah is now 60 (I believe the original EFB one was 59) so after reading several threads on here I need to have it coded. I've reached out to someone from the VCDS list on the site but they haven't posted since 2023 so hopefully they are still doing it (they are only a few miles away from me too). I've just watched a video of someone changing the same battery as me. On one of the terminal covers is a plastic plug which he broke off and inserted into the hole on the "+" side of the battery. Do I have to do this? It did have plugs in when I received the battery but all the documentation said to remove these straight away which I did.
  3. Sorry to be asking such a simple question! I currently have AvonZV7 90V XL's fitted but they have cracks on the side walls and in the tread. They are about 5 years old with plenty of tread but I only do low mileage so I need to change them for safety. Wheel size is 215/45R16 and the ones I've been looking at are the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2, would these ok? What speed rating for this car should I be looking at? Is V rating overkill? I rarely do any motorway driving now and it's usually just me and the Mrs in the car with shopping. Thanks
  4. I know this is a couple of years old now but does anyone know where the antenna is on the monte carlo with a panoramic roof? I've searched online but can't seem to find anything about it's location or how to change it although I'm probably not using the right search words!
  5. Update - There was in fact a metainfo2.txt file on there! I copied all my music from the sd card to my pc when I used the card to update my system a couple of weeks ago. No idea why it was still on there so when I formatted it was indeed empty and then I just copied all my music back without realising the file was there. Thanks for the help again pab567 otherwise I'd be just going round in circles!
  6. No I don't, I've formatted the cards (full not quick) but still the same. Even tried a new one I had but when I select media I get this message.
  7. I'm driving to Devon later and removed my SD Card to put some more music on it (been using the card for ages without a problem). However, when I put the card back in I get the message in the pic. Removed it, formatted it and tried again but still the same. Tried another card and still same message. Any ideas what's causing this or how I can get my music to play? Bad enough my DAB has gone down but now this, don't think I can listen to FM radio for 2 hrs!
  8. I'm probably a bit slow to the game but I found a site called MIB Solution which has the updates on it (I can see it mentioned in this thread now after searching). Under the Skoda_ZR folder it lists the updates and the highest MU Version is 480. I currently have 0369 installed, would it be safe to update to 0480? Not sure as the modified dates are a bit out of sync. Think I've sussed it now! I'm on 03 version of the firmware so can only use those with that number.
  9. Thanks very much and done. Thought it might fix my loss of dab but it didn't. More investigation needed.
  10. Can anyone tell me if there are any updates for the Bolero for my Fabia Mk3 (2016). Hopefully my pics will have all the info you need. Thanks.
  11. After doing some more searching I found a post from Falco that mentioned some other fuses to check. I've done this but the fuses were all ok, I even changed them just to make sure but pump still not working so I guess it must be broken. Are the pumps easy to change?
  12. I have a Monte Carlo bought in 2016. The wipers work but no water comes out even though the bottle is full. There is no pump sound either so after doing some searching/reading I checked fuse 22 and it was blown. I've bought some more 10a fuses from Halfords and replaced the blown one but it's still not working. Are there any fuses in the engine compartment associated with the washer system I need to check? I fear it may be the pump itself that could be bust though.
  13. Just spoke to the garage again and looks like cause was stone damage, even more annoying as hardly used the car this year.
  14. My 2016 Fabia is now just 4 years old with 20k on the clock. I noticed that the coolant was going down so I've taken it to my local garage (out of warranty) who have told me that there is a leak in the lower radiator so it will have to be replaced. Bit annoying that this has happened to a pretty young-ish car cos it looks like it's going to cost around £400 to replace. Is this a common thing to occur or have I just been unlucky?
  15. Thanks but from what I've been reading since I posted this is that the tyres with the most tread should be on the back. If I swap them over now the rear tyres will only be 3mm whereas the front will be 5mm. I understand what you're saying about not mixing treads but not ready to swap all 4 yet.
