there was a nice black 4x4 one on ebay about a week ago did not sell thought nice cars as ive just brought one and well impressed carnt wait to wake up in the mornings and give her some stick mine never come with cruse control but has everythink else

hi all thats how i found this site was talking to a mate of mine who said you can get cruse control fitted to my ocky so looked on the internet and found an email address for vrs stu emailed him some how and got passed ross's email address still waiting to sell my old car to free up some cash to get it done i hate selling cars. hi to ross anyway and hope to see you soon -

the immobiliser is a hard one but will let you know the weekend if a new transponder is easy to code (well matt will i aint got a clue) i think the old transponders if you buy a second hand key cannot be coded for some reason not sure why thought they would good luck mate

so just in a remap i could achieve an extra 50bhp thats quite a lot the other mods are quite expensive for what bph you gain i bet eddy's car flew man that must of been quick do all 6 speed boxes fit a 4x4 or do you have to get the 4x4 one?

just wondering what is the max power you could get out of a 1.8t engine and what sort of upgrades and money are we talking to get there can you help:) i.e turbo, remap, dv, intercooller and all the other bits and bobs? what sort of mods have you done and how do they effect the car and which do i do first to gain more bhp?

sorry to hear mate if it was me i would put a clame in because if you have an injury why not clame if you done it to her (which you never) would she clame i think so just think of all the time and effort you put in to that car and she has distroyed it in one second of stupidty go for it mate you have nothink to loose she probally has protected no claimes so it would'nt effect her

how fast orderd the transponder yesterday at 4pm and it was there in the post today what great service are you ready for another go matt?

just had a bash and got it apart distroyed the skoda badge but will look for some new ons spoke to hickey today very helpfull sorted me out with a new transponder £8 including delivery so running total so far for new key is just £29 bargin compared to skoda prices i just hope now the transponder will code now

just brought my self an 02 skoda 1.8t 4x4 elegence model with 89k full skoda service history got ele windows all round, half leather seats, a/c, 6 disk changer, head light washers and loads of other gadets best of all i payed £2600 for it have a good look around as there are bargins you just have to find them as for problems lisen for strange noises as with any car

looks to me as the pad is too small and only catching 3/4 of the disk? -
thats another question i have i phoned a local place to get a price and they said for the year and model there are two different sizes for the front and the back can any one help

the pads on the out side are ok but on the inside you can not see them is this where the wear indicator is

going to get a transponder on order now thanks guys will let you know how we get on big thanks to matt for the help:thumbup: just a quick one when you pull the key into two half what do all the numbers mean on the back of the button part also which half of thr key holds the immoboliser chip

sounds good mate at least you havent got to dip into you own pocket and they'll sort all the problems i bet that would cost skoda a fourtune ha ha -
what sort of price should i pay for disks and pads allround i went to my local trade stockist and they quoated me £110 all in but they must be rubbish i know they werent geunine parts does any one know of any decent makes that would fit a 4x4 octavia any any prices not sure if the disks and pads are the same as a VRS

fair play saves the money going to the stealers carnt believe they wanted £160 for a key if all goes to plan then my key would of cost me £21 saving £139

my brake light just come on, on the dash of my car (brake ware indecator) how long before the pads will be nackered as ime going to change the pads and the disc together will there be any permenent damage if i leave the pads to wear down to metal it would'nt be for long as i have the new pads and disks but carnt see the point if there is still wear on the old pads and disks can anyone help?

thanks mate my misses get scared when i start it up cold. think she thinks theres a monstar in the boot rolling around :bounce:its that bad, but funny:orb_laugh
