This is quite an old thread, from memory the car did continue to drink oil though not quite as bad, still more than I would expect, car was sold in 2017 so I don't know what happened after that.

Thanks for all the replies guys and a quick update. The lamp is of the design attached, unfortunately the PIR cannot be adjusted at all and points straight forward, though sensor does curve at the edges to catch the peripheral areas. I've ruled out LED heat as another lamp which is similar to the front of the property works fine with same type of bulb. This evening I taped up the centre section of the PIR, the range is reduced to minimum and time set to about 30 seconds duration. The light is now almost behaving correctly in that it goes out after 30 seconds and doesn't immediately re-illuminate, the PIR only senses movement walking from the front of the house to the back and not the reverse, will play with the tape/sensitivity a bit. So it does look like the issue was something to do with the straight on part of the sensor?.

I've an external light with PIR mounted on the side of my house to illuminate the walkway between mine and neibours house, width between walls is approx 1.5-2m. Walls of both houses are rendered with white chips. Recently had to change the bulb and opted for a cool white LED replacement 9w (60w equivalent), previous bulb was 60w but non led and was yellow light. Since fitting the new bulb the light turns on again as soon as it goes out, light has adjustable sensitivity which I've turned right down. Although the light does go out for about 1-2 seconds before coming on again could the whiter light shining on the white rendered wall opposite actually be giving a false reading to the PIR and triggering it again?

Well that was a waste of time, guy at body shop said he couldn't see anything, said paint wasn't flaking as he rubbed it with his nail and couldn't get as detailed a pic as I got with his out off a cracker camera. So basically no pic meant nothing could be sent to Seat as a warranty claim. Apparently they can't send my photos either. Said they would keep my notes of file for if/when it gets worse. Guess I'll be touching up and fixing myself, only planning on keeping the car for another year or do anyway.

I'll let the dealer take a look, assuming it hasn't occurred from inside out any ideas as to the cause?

Washed my car today and noticed this almost splitting of the paint/seam at the bottom of the front of the rear wheel arches. Now car is only 3 years/4 months old and I've never encountered this issue on any previous cars I've owned. Car is detailed regularly by myself so can't put this down to neglect etc. The drivers side is worse than passenger. Think its a dealer job for inspection? Any thoughts? Driver Side: Passenger Side:

Company Phone reasons to persuade boss to use my own
nokiauk replied to nokiauk's topic in The Roadside Hotel
Thanks for the replies Fortunately I work within ICT so this helps, I use the OWA app on iPhone for access to company mail on O365 so luckily don't have Exchange policies to worry about. May have to look at dual sim options. -
Basically carrying 2 phones is a pain. I get a company mobile which is Windows 10 based (Nokia 830), costs the company £5 per month for the sim, handsets are purchased outright. All calls/texts to company owned lines land and mobile are free and 1GB of data also. I don't use the phone that much, mainly for 1 week a month for on-call. There are no minutes allowances so all other calls/texts are charged. We used to be able to make personal calls but our finance dept don't want to bill staff for these calls. I therefore have a personal phone (iPhone) and have grown tired of having both phones. Given I get free calls/texts, 5gb of data etc. I'd have no problems using this for company business including the on-call. Problem is any calls made to my personal mobile would be charged to my company as its not a mobile/ landline owned by them. Personally I think if the handset cost and monthly cost would cost more than any calls made to me, but would like to basically suggest to my boss I use my own phone for everything. This isn't a debate of Windows Phone vs iPhone, if I could use the company phone for personal use I would, only really use it for web/email and not loads of fancy apps. Thanks.
