evening all about a month ago my wee VRS went clang. Water pump siezed, belt snap, valves go ping etc etc etc. Its all back together BUT the car struggles to start when cold (but does) then smokes a lot. When its warm its fine. The garage are scratching their head and are trying injector set up rejig. They have asked dealers and no one knows what to do. Its £1500 worth of work so far so I'm loathe to throw more money at it. does anyone have any ideas? The car ran absolutely fine the second (and weeks/months) before it went clang too??? any ideas what might cause cold start and smoke problems that arent there when its warm?? thanks hopefully! forgot to add current pads are ferodo with (i think) 4057 stamped on the rear of the pad - just visible through the caliper.....:(

! mr 53 Vrs Flabbya needs new pads. Every local motor factor I ring offers a choice of pads - not make but "design" so? anyone got a picture? or are all 4 pads identical? are they 2 pairs of different? do they have wear indicators? does god not like the fact I can get 55mpg from my Czech wonder??? thanks Craig

i can't believe i'm going to say this but Bloody Hell my little Furby with the turqoise badges is amazing i admit to being a tiny little bit predjudiced in the (distant admittedly) past

i thought that but front n rear are "faded" the same too??????

just acquired a Fab - ia VRS and wondered why the badges on my car have a turquoise "skoda bird thing" rather than a green one like all the others? or am i not special ??:confused::eek:
