  7. Presently clogging up the garage. If they sell, nice, if they don't they get a reprieve. Like you say, maybe worth putting back on if I sell. We will see.
  8. Evening all, just bought an LE Octy, I've put new wheels n tyres on, wasn't a huge fan of the LE wheels, so they're up for grabs. Centre caps n all I'm not sure wot they're worth. Pm me Oh all tyres in good nick Si Based outside Edinburgh
  9. As of tomorrow I've got a good set of LE's up for grabs. With good tyres.. I don't like the style. Each to there own I'm based outside Edinburgh if anyone wants to pop along and make an offer. Si
  10. Evening, I've just bought and collected a VRS Limited Edition petrol the other day. It's a TSI with a chain, yup I wondered too but after asking 2 skoda dealers, they confirmed it was a chain and not a timing belt.. It's a CCZ engine code. Its got a different engine cover and is different to look at also when you pop the bonnet. Also in my opinion, from the 56plate VRS I had, also petrol, this is way nippier and it's bog standard.. I love the different dash and centre console layout... I'm changing the wheels tomorrow, I don't like the spokes.. Roadtax for the TSI is way cheaper at £110 for 6 months or £200 for a year.. I've checked with DVLA, it's got a lower emissions code.. Always a bonus.. Limited Editions the way forward in my opinion. What I need now is someone to tell me how to hook up my ipod. And not via the jack. It's a bolero stereo.. Si
  11. Ouch, engine light came on the other day.. Car went into the garage this morning and its and EGR valve.. Kaaaaaa-chingggggg! A bill that's not appreciated this close to Xmas.. Sod's law though, I only put the car on piston heads for sale on Tuesday. Maybe it's the cars way of saying "don't sell me". Anyway. I'm still undecided whether it stays or goes.. Cars fixed, should get it at lunchtime. Si http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/skoda/octavia/skoda-octavia-mk2-2-0-fsi-sport-2005/957524
  12. Oh and what's the grade of oil the TSi engine needs.. Si
  13. A question What size are the discs on the 2.0 FI Sport 2005. There seems to be a few sizes for the model.. I know, whip a wheel off, I was hoping for an easy answer.. Si
  14. 100 miles later and we r home. Nice looker and a lovely driver.... Just need a nice day to polish it up.. **** off Mr Rain..
  15. Well all I can now say is 2500 miles ago since the clutch slipped, well when the wife RODE the clutch away from the M6 toll, its still biting and hasn't shown any issues since the day we left for hols.. That's the last time she gets to drive.. And now 1500 miles around France and another 1000 since we got home in June, well in the hands of its new owner.. I'm sure the wee ball of fire will prove a wee cracker for the new owner.. There was nearly a tear when I handed the keys over.. The Fabbie VRs is such an impressive car, I had ma doubts when I bought one but I now realise why folk want one even ones with big miles.. Our one had 100k but was still as tight as a snare drum. S
  16. I though about another td but presently ain't doing the miles so I opted for a petrol. Bet the dsg and tdi are a good combo. Now I'm looking to do a few sensible mods starting with the stereo then poss new lowered springs.
  17. Evening all, well getting the sport tomoz. Anyone got one, anyone modded one. Are you happy with it.. Thoughts Ta
  18. Well, I like the octavia, so this morning I drove along way to see a very nice Red Sport MK2. I bought it, nice wee mota, so my Fabia VRs must go. Shame, but I need a lot more space or the Fabia would stay.. I've had a couple of VRs octys, but this red sport looked great so why not.. Anyone had one, any good or bad points... Anyone fancy a 05 plate Fab VRs in mint condition. (PM me) new tyres, full history, mot n tax till march next year.. Si

  20. Exactly the reason why I'm now finding it hard to sell. What else will you get for the money which is as much fun..?
  21. Just thought I'd do a quick post. We took the wee Fab VRS MK1 to Brittany.. What a hoot to drive. I saw a few surprised faces when over taking or just accelerating on the motorway here in blighty and over the water.. BM and Audi drivers beware.. I was going to sell once we had returned but I was so impressed with it I think I'm going to keep it for a wee while longer and then get another Octy.. 1400 miles and it only cost £120 in fuel.. Pretty good I think.. And we weren't hanging about either.. What an impressive wee car. Si
  22. Ah cheers. I remember the old days when it was a clutch kit, why oh why do wee need to change flywheels too.. It's just more expense. Showing ma age eh. Cheers Simboy
