  1. You are a legend sanmart mate. Proper ball ache dropping the motor (lug and the loom) but it worked. Wd40'd the spindle, job done and sorted. I assume not enough go to turn the fan. It wasn't tight at all but it worked. How long, who knows but play by ear. Have a drink fella. Forum's great stuff. Superb 170 from new 2013, .so yes 11 years of no ball ache bar this. Really appreciate the post. Just that lug on the casing and the siting due to the loom on the bulkhead. Hopefully just me and the ball ache. It was **** and yes I would take that lug off if it as it fowled the loom in the corner on the bulkhead. Still you guys, keep at it, ball ache on your back and the sill but fingers crossed, it will keep going. Corrosion, not much at all, but obviously just enough not to turn. Not tight at all. Give it a squirt and watch it kick in. Cheers, fella. Happy days. 13 years from new that Supetb. Proper good tool. FYI, other motors Occy Mk3 plus A6 C7 bitutbo. No ball ache at all. Long live VAG Previous motor Leon cupra, 14 years of sound motoring. From new (2004 to 2019). Nothing. Job done and bread and butter motors for the real people.
