I’d be interested in this as well my 2011 diesel VRS is on 160,000 miles and the shocks which are original are starting to mist. Id be interested to here views given to your original post as I plan to change shocks and springs together soon

Great choice! How do you find the Mk1 compares to the upgraded model? I had a MK1VRS many years ago and it was one of the best cars I’d owned but I can’t help but feel the retro interior would feel quite outdated nowadays! anymore plans for the new car?

I think probably like many other members on here would say.... Take it to another garage and get a second opinion if that noise is directly as a result of work they have carried out and wasn’t there prior to taking your car to that particular garage then it’s either a problem with the part fitted or their workmanship and they need to fix it

Is there anywhere that sells the same white that the Skoda Octavia VRS is supplied in? Im not sure on the black surround on a white car as yet. However I take it any black spray paint that’s suitable for plastics would be ok?

JR - any pics? i have a white Octavia VRS with a chrome grill - the inner grill where the old VRs badge was, which has incidentally fallen off is a dull black. I’m thinking either paint the surround white and freshen up the inner grill with a fresh black and a new Black VRS badge or paint it all black To be honest though I wouldn’t know what paint to use - I’ve seen a few videos on you tube but with it being at the front of the car I want it to be well protected and not just flake off in a few months!

I’ve lost the front VRS grill badge to my octy VRs mk2 has anyone changed these or upgraded!?

My cambelt on my VRS will be due soon. For a water pump and cambelt I’m getting quotes around the £400. I will be getting a few other things such as a full service and Rear whiteline ARB fitted as well I expect but with 154,000 miles I do like to make sure the car is in top condition
