  1. Telford here ! I'd be glad to do some skoda meets , the OH is in the brit min club and there is only so much fun you can have with 65 bhp ! Much prefer my VRS !!!

Ohhhh there is unlimited fun to be had though you just have to know how to enjoy the smaller engines. My (will be my other halfs once we sell the ibiza) MPi in insanely fun! all 68 horses of it. The handling is immense - you could corner with a spirit level on her roof and it'd stay flat - bugger when you live out in the sticks as we do but I can take things with way more power down the lanes simply because I dont have to brake she sticks to corners like glue. You dont need a big engine to have fun, infact I have more fun in the fabia than in the ibiza with nearly 200 horses.

  2. I had that happen before.. I was stationary, she reversed well over 5m without considering looking behind and rammed into my then car :|

Taxi driver reversed around a corner into my mums car.... wondered why his car had stopped so instead of looking in his mirror just booted it a bit more and shoved her backwards even more!!!!!! That I felt was quite something.

Hope you can get yours sorted quickly! If I cant get in a disabled spot then I would rather suffer the extra pain and park at the back of a carpark out the way of idiots

Edit : I should note I DO have a blue badge.... I am not inconsiderate and take up spaces without one....

  3. update for you:

today SWMBO had to avoid a wide load on her route to work and stuffed the same wheel into another massive kerb damaging another 4 spokes of the same spider

In the same manouver she also managed to clobber the rear wheel on the same kerb!

looks like i'll be needed 2 new rims rather than 1 :(

    Bad times!!

Lummox noticed my wheels after pullign the same manouver to avoid a combine earlier in the week. All of mine are buggered now - having spacers on there doesnt help tho with the sticking outyness but I like her fat a$$.

I once used a curb as a brake in the snow when I had the old wheels on - that was not pretty

  4. i will be rollin down to improve the skoda presecence, tho was a decision between this an the pod, but thought i wud give it to the ed38 boys for thier 10th anni

    shud be good

ps to chez i will do u a swap on reports ;)

I have to say - there was more to see than previous editions, and its the first time we had seen a lot of the cars LOADS of aircooled  which I love. Some proper kitted up drag cars going down the strip too = cars running 7 - 8 second 1/4 miles which I really enjoyed as something different. Would have been even better camping with the christmas party theme going on and the night racing too.

lol.. is VWaction a competing event then? lol

No, but if you come down south and we dont see you I am going to be offended!

  5. yay i'm off, going down in my mates 69 Camper. should be fun B)

Some lovely campers there today! TBH - I preferr all the aircooled stuff though anyway so am really glad we did Action not Edition as we've already seen a lot of the watercooled stuff multiple times this year a lot today was first time we've seen the cars

hi missp where is this vw show on sunday

  6. you're welcome to come meet up with us as VWAction this Sunday! Have space on the display

I am also going to be organising a few more meets around Worcester area over the non-show season (I get depressed when there are no shows to look forward to) - the first being Sat 25th September 3pm for a bit of grub and a natter at the Brewers Fayre just off J9 of the M5
