I'm struggling a bit with the Air conditioning part of Skoda connect.

It seems you can set the air coditioning temperature to either warm or cool the car and also the window heating.

I tried setting the car to warm up but when I went out to it the fan blower was on low but wasn't very warm. Does it take ages? Also tried window heating. I assume this is the heated screen not the blower. Again not much happened. And what exactly does Power source mean. You can flick on 'please allow battery usage'. Can it start the engine and use the ICE to warm the car. I thought it was illegal to leave a car running unattended.

Need to get the hang of this before the cold weather starts.

Did you suss this out I’ve just got mine and can’t fathom it out either.

Sorry no help but just nosy.

    ?

Are you disappointed with the Kodiaq and is if better fuel consumption you are after?

How old is the car and do you own it and need to take the loss trading in or is it a lease car?

Looking for a change really. I like the Kodiaq but only getting 500 miles to the tank full .was considering a petrol but was stung with the official mpg with my Fabia vrs 1.4 .

  3. Currently running a Kodiaq 2.0 tdi 4x4 dsg and considering changing to  a superb.i only do 10000 miles a year mainly a 30 mile commute 5 times a week and a few runs out. Looking at either a sportline estate 2.0 diesel150 manual or a 2.0 tsi 220 dsg executive estate. Roughly get 500 miles a tank full with the Kodiaq. Thoughts please. Cheers

  4. Surely they did not want to give cover then because there are younger drivers that have not paid much more to insure Mk2 vRS than Monte Carlos.

As for fuel, the 1.4 TSI can do pretty much the same mpg as a 1.2 TSI as in 40's to 50's mpg.

Obviously you can do low 20's if you drive the way that will use up fuel quick.

I didn't get any where near those figures in my mk2 vrs. Was lucky to get 250 miles out of a tank. And didn't thrash it either.not always......
  5. Picked up my new car yesterday. 1.2 montecarlo estate 110 BHp in red with 17"alloys.this will be my fifth Skoda over the years.started with an Octavia vrs ltd edition went to a superb estate with all the bells and whistles then a fabia mk2 vrs then the boring Octavia Se.got to say I love the apple car play. Better functioning than the dnx525 dab unit I had in the octy.

  6. Ooohhh, goody, keep us posted!

When you have found a car manufacturer that cares more for their customers than for their profits make sure that we all know about it :)

Probably won't find one but I not going to shrug and say " oh well I suppose it's just the way it is" I and countless others where conned and if you think that's ok thats upto you.i don't find it acceptable and to blame two software engineers for the whole situation is beyond belief.

  7. VW deserve everything they gonna get. Following the performance I had with my oil gobbling Fabia vrs which had a new bottom end at 8000 miles I moved back to diesels. Read the threads on the Fabia engine faults If you don't know.about it. I was treated like I didn't know what I was on about when I said it had excessive oil consumption.no apology etc when it had a new bottom end fitted so I traded it for a deisel . Now I find out that the car I bought won't be the one I get back regarding mpg and power etc.Its about time they have a kick up,the arse. I for one have registered with Gordon and Slaters regarding any up and coming litigation. I don't care if it's only a half hour fix etc I was lied to and I'm fed up of big business treating people like 3 year olds. Take my car give me my money back and I'll go elsewhere . No more VAG for me ever again. Been bitten once with the Fabia was bad enough so this is just an insult.

  8. I can't wait for the TV adverts to start. "Are you the owner of one of the following cars if so you can claim £1000's in compensation"

And you know what I'll claim. After being fobbed off with a dodgy oil guzzling Fabia vrs and being told they do use a lot of oil I'm going after all I can get regarding my soulless 1.6tdi. And they said I'd get 45 mpg out of the Fabia .LoL.The greedy bleeders deserve all that's coming to them. Bring it on.

  9. Ive had a 1.6 octavia cr se plus  dsg for just over a week now . I'm amazed with the fuel economy and the power. Ive gone from an octy vrs  2.0 tdi to a fabia 1.4 tsi vrs to a superb 2.0 cr 170 elegance and now on the 1.6.

Just done a trip to cornwall and it returned 55mpg .i did 330 miles on under half a tank and ran round cornwall all week on the rest .Refilled with it showing a range of over 100 miles .just got home following a 5 hour trip and still got over half a tank left. I wasnt pottering either. So what if it hasn't got the toys the superb had or the oomph both the vrs's had . When i had the Fabia VRS the best i got was 300 miles to a full tank driving like an old women. When you put your foot down it goes a few seconds slower than all the other cars iv'e had but to be honest you hardly notice the difference. The fuel is cheaper the road tax is cheaper and the fuel economy is miles better. the tyres are cheaper. God I sound like my dad.

Give me the 1.6 cr any time!

  10. Iv'e had a octy vrs ltd edition wonderful seats! Fabia mk2 vrs wonderful seats! Superb i love it but she doesn't .Catches the buttons for the adjustment every time she gets in it or out of it and she says it hurts her back so its got to go.

As a bonus though i get to get a Kenwood dnx521dab!

Just had my avatar removed because it said S H I T E my god i thought we lived in a society were free speech was allowed . Watch out big brother IS watching you!. obviously it upsets thesome of the southern softies on the forum
