Press the settings button .there should be a volume setting button on there screen. Press this and it goes into a sub menu and in there you can set the volume for the navigation.
Sorry press the tone button thenselect volume.

flamazine: I don't think the one from your link will work as it looks like it is only RSAP capable. iPhone needs HFP capable module which is later than "A" edition.

You can actually burn on to dvd as well as cd.

you can put mp3 on a disc and copy to hdd from there so you don't bave to just use the sd card.HI Jamie, i may have misled you i do not normally use the sd card for music. There is no other option other than to use the sd card to load the music on the hard drive. I was using the sd card to experiment with the mix selection. Still not sure if the mix is working or if it only works on the hard drive. More fiddling required. Would like to know if anyone can confirm the process.
Will let you know how i get on.

I do .Have the phone showing on the columbus go to sms in box and then extras. It should say read aloud in there.

I put each album in a separate folder and give it the name of the album. If I turn off the ignition mid way I to an album it always starts were it was when I restart the ignition. I think single files not in a separate folder get priority over folders and thts why it always plays.

I have 5n0035730d is this compatible?Part number should be along these lines: 5N0 035 730 C or 5P0 862 335 D
The 5N0 / 5P0 part is the originating manufacture & vehicle;
The 035 730 or 862 335 is the part number (common across the VAG range);
The suffix letter C or D is the revision to the part number.
We need all these parts to be able to help you further. The part numbers you have given don't in my experience or knowledge, match any VAG BT modules.

I fitted a columbus to my octy vrs special editon . The gps receiver was fitted under the dash as far back as possible before the columbus was slotted in .never had any problems. A friend has a vw caddy with rns510 fitted the same way and no problems. Hope this helps.

You probably wouldn't use park assist. Ive got it on mine and only used it once in the carpark at work to check that it worked.

I downloaded from rnsfirmware.com the very first one on the page. Couldnt find it any where else. Do you have I digit postcode search?

just bit the bullet and put 4120 on . It works fine but i now need to recode with vcds. just installing v10 maps and all is well. it now shows the hidden menu as well.
Just noticed i havnt got 6 digit postcode search any more

I have a 2011 suberb estate with columbus . It has 6 digit poscode search . I havnt got the hidden menu or acess to vcds to find out what firmware im running . Would it be safe to upgrade to 4012 and would my bluetooth still work and would I not have to get it recoded in vcds. Cheers

My 2011 elegance works fine with the wifes iphone 5c. Cant see it being much different from the iphone 5s. Did you try to connect via the maxidot? Or through the columbus?
