  1. I have to ask what you mean by this? Fellies and Favorits own brakes are very good and in rally they are usually in use as original (only Fedoro etc. pads added). Still I´ve thought that drilled discs could be good when thinking about cooling during special stages with heavy use of brakes. What is problem with these? "Real" (=thicker) ventilated discs are issue of wider modification of brakes and that is something outside of my plans.
  2. Thanks Tom again. There is at least one place in Finland making PU bushes based on customers needs, I dont know what is their method but I don´t care . I´ve heard also that PU is difficult for own lathe but nylon would be easier to work.
  3. I am planning to change PU or nylon bushes to lower arms of my rally-Felly. I found out that there was last year some group order managed. Well, it is gone but I wonder if someone happens to have dimensions for bushes so I could work ones and the just change them without need to before disassembly old rubber bushes for measuring and keep car out of service . What about rear axle mounting then, what kind of bushes there exist and are they worth to improve? By the way, has someone changed engine mounting rubbers to solid ones, made of nylon for example? I think rubber mountings are not best option when tihinking about quite violent rally use... Those should be quite easy to lathe.
  4. Ok, thanks again Tom. My mistake was to ask before I think first , I mean I didn't notice option to try first 1.6 or 1.9D Felicias own ARB. I think it make difference compared situation now without any anti-roll bar. And I didn't know either that later Caddy is based on Fel, interesting .
  5. No, I don't have ARB at all at the moment. Actually I haven't even tried Fels own ARB yet, yesterday I get information about one diesel Fel ARB in the nearby scrapyard and I think I will try with it first. Anyway it is good to know that Caddy ARB fits almost straight if I Feel that ARB should be stronger. By the way, I think we are talking about Caddies from years 86-92?
  6. Fel is just under little make-up but when it soon LOOKS like real rally car, I will send some pics, I promise
  7. Hej! Yep, that's maybe the only section I've visited and I've already found many interesting tips there. Still many questions left...
  8. Hello guys, greetings from Finland! I got the disease last spring when I bought my first Skoda...well, actually I got infected already earlier when i started to drive rally as co-driver and now I have my first own rally car, GrN Felicia 1.3. It's still project under construction and development to be at least near competitive in its own class. Maybe some day I will challenge Polos, Swifts and Micras in Finnish 1400 Trophy! I have been lurking here in Briskoda now and then whole summer and now I decided to register and start to "bomb" you with my countless question Nice to be here, this forum and members seems to have very good spirit. Keep up the good way!
  9. Hello guys, greetings from Finland! I got the disease last spring when I bought my first Skoda...well, actually I got infected already earlier when i started to drive rally as co-driver and now I have my first own rally car, GrN Felicia 1.3 that is now under construction and development to be at least near competitive in its own class. I have red through this forum all the summer and now I decided to register and take part in your interesting conversations. I got LOT of questions but I start this ARB case. So, Caddy 22mm ARB is mentioned as suitable, are there other ARBs that could be easy-to-fit and has notifiable effect when thinking about rally driving on gravel? How are eg. those Caddy ARB own mountings, are they modifiable to Fel or do I have to make whole new ones? Some facts about situation now, my Fel has Sachs shocks used also in SkodaMotorsport Fels and Favs back in the days. Front bottom arms are now original but I'm gonna swap them to bracing welded ones.
