  1. Tocsa, thanks for the very useful post. I have few questions. Did you put the crankshaft in some fixed position (my handbook says to align a mark on the pulley with a 0 on the engine block)? Do I have to take care about the position of the thing that connects to the gear on the camshaft where old skodas have a distributor?
  2. from handbook, Timing chain is aligned with 12 chain links between dot markings. felicia timing chain picture
  3. I have Felicia 1,3MPI with faulty alternator's regulator. Alternator is PAL TYPE 443 113 516 661 ( 70A). I also have old but working Favorit's alternator type 443 113 516 631 ( 55A). Can I replace regulator from Favorit's alternator to the Felicia's ? Felicia's alternator has 15A more current and has additional white plastic piece with markings ECIA CD01 ( 2,2uF capacitor + a diode)? Goran
  4. It's ok. I've replaced the cv joint. Only thing is, short threaded part for main nut. Old one had 4mm washer beneath a nut. If I leave the washer and fasten the nut, it's very close to the thread end. So, I've removed the washer and fastened and secured the nut. Now, it's about 5mm thread left. I hope it will be ok.
  5. I have failed CV joint on my Felicia ( 1.3 MPI 1998.). I also have a brand new CV joint for Favorit ( 1990.). I need information, is it possible to mount complete Favorit joint on my Felicia? As far as I can see, only difference is shorther length of threaded part of outer shaft of the joint ( where goes main nut ). If not, can I replace inner cage of the Favorit CV joint into Felicia CV joint cup? Sorry for my english. I hope you understand.
  6. I removed the gearbox. Without tumbling becouse I'll take it to the the gearbox mechanic tomorrow. :auto: Thanks TeflonTom ! Goran
  7. I'll try to take the gearbox down and then tumble it:trampolin I hope that the thing will fall through the hole where it entered. Do I need some extra precaution with it? I have some DIY manual in czech and it mentions some special tool for differential housing after removing axles. But, I'm no better in czech than in english
  8. The thing didn't came out with oil I noticed that gearbox case consists of 2 parts: 1st ( with starter and clutch) and 2nd (with gears). Can I dismantle these parts and open case? ( Without gears falling apart )
  9. I have Felicia 1,3 1999. and a big problem. I have been dismantling speed cable from gearbox and that small plastic gear fell into the hole  Now it's somewhere in the gearbox :eek: What's the easiest way to get it out? To take the gearbox down and put it upside down? To remove oil exchange screw and see if it will come out with oil? Or something else?
