  1. Thanks to all , ive got it booked in so i will reply on here when i find out what it was. (The garage suggested centre prop bearing was a common fault.) Alan
  2. I have a 1.4 yeti 4wd 2016, 130000 miles, it has a continuous rumble which increases with speed , sounds like a wheel bearing and it is also present while coasting. I do a bit of DIY but i wouldnt tackle complex stuff, Ive just jacked car up on each wheel and couldnt find any play or noise when turning by hand. If it not the wheel bearings where would the next area be to look please?

  5. Its a feb 2025 model
  6. Anyone tried aftermarket reversing camera retrofit on the Kamiq? Disapointed to find it wasnt standard on the monte carlo but hey i suppose i should have checked b4 buying.
  7. Hi , just thought id draw attention to this, i removed my front mudflap and wing liner to try and get access to the back of a dent i thought i might be able to push out from behind. Anyhow thats by the by, however i found a big pile of wet muddy crap which had built up against the bottom of the metal wing , which wont help with future rusting . If anyone keeps their cars a long time like me , you might want to check yours out. 5 mins . Easy just remove the 2 or 3 torx screws holding the mudflap and peel back the liner , you will be able to remove it all then.
  8. Sorry this is really embarrassing I feel bad now , it turned out that both dipped beam bulbs had blown at once, and somehow I was sold 2 new faulty bulbs. So, Having tried all your ideas to no avail , I booked it in. I’ve just paid £45 to an auto electrician to fit another 2 bulbs. but your responses won’t be wasted , and there is a lot of good debate and info stored here for someone else in future. thanks all
  9. Ok thanks all , I will update the post when I find out what it was.
  10. Hi sorry just to clarify , do you mean the small dial that raises/ lowers headlamp beam , or the main light switch on far right ? As we have another 5J Fabia I can swap switches over to test or eliminate . Thanks
  11. Hi thanks for your response. To date I have only tried spraying elec contact cleaner into the base of the stalk. unfortunately when it comes to electrics I have to restrict myself to my very basic skill level , I don’t feel confident in dismantling switches at steering column so I will have to let the experts do that !
  12. Ok , I suppose I had ruled this out because the main beam is working fine , so are the sidelights. Any how I’ll check it out next then. Thanks
  13. Hi can anyone say whether the Fabia Mk2 5J has a relay for the dipped headlamps? I have full beam but no dipped, checked/ renewed both bulbs , checked fuses nothing there. iI assume i will have to check the steering column stalk sooner or later but does anyone have any other simple likely causes / solutions please ?
  14. Hi on our 5J Fabia 1.4 mpi, when aircon is in use it makes a whirring sound which seems to increase in speed / loudness in sync with engine speed. the aircon itself works fine and gives good cold air. any clues on cause / solution welcome please Thanks
