Hi there,mine (2008 1.4tdi)does the same on frosty mornings but it normally fires after the second time i switch the key on.i have changed the battery(new correct one),the glow plugs and cleaned all connections for earth etc.I then bought a new starter motor as i think that is the problem but i have yet to change it(as i don`t like being cold . Hope it helps.

my rear demister failed too,broken wires in the rubber grommet ,easy fix thanks to this forum

12yrs later and i had the same thing this morning on my 58 roomy,the only difference is i parked my roomster facing down the drive instead of up,coolant and connections fine,parked up the normal way on my drive and no problems since-very strange indeed

Hi all After a 14 yr hiatus i am back in a skoda,i have bought myself a tatty diesel roomster.After many years of a pair of gas guzzling volvo 960 3ltr 6cyl bricks i thought its time for some fuel/tax savings.Remembering my old felicia gli from 1998 being tough and reliable i went back and got a volvo sized boot thrown in,looking forward to the years ahead.

Had exactly the same on 1.3 felly,passenger sponge soaked,blew out the fusebox and had to get trailored home,turned out that when i fitted a sub i passed the live wire past a seal behind the battery i forgot to seal it back up so 18months of rain had got in and just overloaded it.easy fix thou i just stripped the fusebox,cleaned and waterproofed all the connections etc. Plus i put the seal back properly lol. :(

i replaced my regulator at 150,000,but still had to get a recon alternator as it was worn out.mine had to be the 90amp version.

99 feli 1.3 est 154,000 miles, had new alternator and rear exhaust,new pads soon.
