Hi there,mine (2008 1.4tdi)does the same on frosty mornings but it normally fires after the second time i switch the key on.i have changed the battery(new correct one),the glow plugs and cleaned all connections for earth etc.I then bought a new starter motor as i think that is the problem but i have yet to change it(as i don`t like being cold . Hope it helps.

my rear demister failed too,broken wires in the rubber grommet ,easy fix thanks to this forum

12yrs later and i had the same thing this morning on my 58 roomy,the only difference is i parked my roomster facing down the drive instead of up,coolant and connections fine,parked up the normal way on my drive and no problems since-very strange indeed

Hi all After a 14 yr hiatus i am back in a skoda,i have bought myself a tatty diesel roomster.After many years of a pair of gas guzzling volvo 960 3ltr 6cyl bricks i thought its time for some fuel/tax savings.Remembering my old felicia gli from 1998 being tough and reliable i went back and got a volvo sized boot thrown in,looking forward to the years ahead.
