  1. HAVE A OCTAVIA 2005 150KLM REPLACED TURBO. BUT A BAD SMELL OF OIL WHEN THE CAR IS WARM

    VERRY SMOKEY WHEN I START THE CAR BUT AFTER A FEW MINS IT OK USEING 1LT OF OIL EVERY 1000KLM.

    IS THIS NORMAL GOING FOR A COMPRESION TEST TOMMOROW WITH A DEALER COST 45 EURO HOPE TO THE PROB SOLVED.

    ANYONE GOT ANY HELP

  2. It might be something more simple. You need to have a diagnostic check done.

    VNT vanes sticking is very common, could be much more simple such as N75..

    I just found your other thread so I'll merge them both for you,

    ARE the vnt vanes easy to repair can they be cleaned or is it a new turbo

    we took off the pipe leading to the turbo and the vents are jamed solid

    my mec siad we need to replace the turbo. skoad dealer price (1700 supply & fit euro plus vat 21.5%)

    or we got a price of (700 euro inc vat) from a turbo dealer

  4. HI ALL new to this

    have a 2005 octavia 1.9 tdi pd new model

    changed timing belt & warter pump all good Q

    drove the car for a few days and seemed to lose power

    lifted the bonnet when i reved the engine the pipe feeding the vacum

    seemed to deflate nearlt cut out the engine

    put on the computer got these code

    16603 po 299 turbo in one-

    super charger wire

    boost sensor (a operating

    ) circuit mode

    underrboost
