Thinking about buying an ex demonstrator, diesel, 60,000 miles, DSG and 4x4, what should I be looking out for, i.e, cambelt
My 5 seat MK1 SE L has LED headlights, but they're not AFS.

Starting Issue
I experienced this problem an hour ago (2.0 TDI 190 4x4). Started normally from cold and I drove into town - about three miles. Did a 5 minute errand then back to car. Foot on brake and pressed the button. Starter motor sits there turning the engine over at a good speed but no fire-up. I had to press the button to stop it. This happened a couple more times. Just before reaching for my phone and Skoda Assistance, I switched off then back on and tried. It started normally. The car''s almost six years and hasn't happened before in my ownership for three years. Worrying.

Kodiaq new tyres recommendations
What did the OP decide, tyre-wise? I need new tyres for my Kodiaq in the same size. It's currently wearing 235/50 R19 Scorpion Verde though the car has a full size spare (and has a can of sealant and a pump in the boot). I'm still scratching my head about self-seal tyres as the manufacturers say "If you get puncture get the tyre replaced when you can". But, if the self-seal tyre has done its job, how would you know if you had a puncture if no pressure was lost?

Cambelt replacement schedule?
Replying to my own post - bad form - but Skoda Customer Services have just confirmed to me that as of July 1st 2023 VAG group wide has removed the time-based requirement on all cars completely and for my car the mileage interval is 140K!

Cambelt replacement schedule?
What's the current understanding on when a cambelt requires replacement? At the last service min-year, the dealer told me my Dec 2018 TDI 190 4X4 would need the cam belt doing at 5 years old - next month. However, I've see posts somewhere else that says there's a new policy and verified by a call to Skoda customer services, of at 100,000 miles with no time-based element. As the dealer was quoting me in the £800 region, I'd rather avoid the spend if not necessary.

1.9TDI revs to red line when starting after cold night
Thanks for your suggestions. I'll take a deeper look. Still a bit odd that the only time it does it is when it's very cold. Otherwise, it's as good as gold.

1.9TDI revs to red line when starting after cold night
The title says it: My wife's '07 plate 1.9TDI Roomster has for some while had this somewhat worrying problem. If the night has been freezing-level cold, when she starts the car, it will rev to the red line and sit there. Needless to say, she will immediately switch it off. This will happen two or three times more before it will (so far) eventually start properly. Any ideas where and what to start looking for?
