    Got the alternator refurbished. Probably cheaper going to breakers but least i onow it has new bearings and reg and brushed etc
    Thanks for help and suggestions
    Straight forward job by the way removing and replacing

    Did help mate. Made a massive difference and not surprised as temp sensor and TB were fairly gunked up
    Hasnt stuttered once since and no more problem on cold mornings

    Haha was reading a few post on other threads and seems a few members had left it in the nut when puttin wheel back on.was inspired by them re tracing their driveways and finding it. Just spent last 20 mins walking around on the gravel driveway here and got lucky. Was about 20 feet from where i took wheel off:)
    Definately gonna have a look for one next time at the breakers!

    Even in Haynes it only seems to cover the other models and not the vrs!!
    Can't see the 2 torx screws mentioned in the Haynes book under the ashtray!?
