Exactly the car I've got (except a year newer) mine also has the rusty rear discs and creaks a bit over speed bumps. It did have a new glove box fitted under warranty but that was pre purchase. Mines a manual and having driven a dsg karoq I'm glad I stuck with manual. That said if most of my miles were round town I would be tempted by dsg.

No it was in eco mode 😂 a karoq and sports mode don't seem to go together in my mind. 😂😂

I would say don't, my superb sel is a manual , my uncle has a Kodiaq DSG, I've also driven a superb dsg as a courtesy car. The fuel economy is much worse in my experience. If you don't pay for your own fuel maybe worth it. It was also very reluctant to change up. One big advantage with dsg (I think) is the adaptive cruise control will work better as it will bring you to a stand. If it's a company car and you don't buy your own fuel my issues with dsg probably aren't worth worrying about though

I frequently get 90 plus in my superb 1.4tsi manual. On a 350 mile trip back from lake district couple of weeks ago it was 96 and was doing about 59mpg I believe. If it goes under 85 I'm not a happy bunny but I'm tight! In my uncles karoq dsg I managed 100 once on a 5 mile trip. But dsg is cheating imo as one of the major factors is done for you. The first pic is my uncles karoq the last 3 are a proper car, the superb with a manual gearbox 😂 The last one was 100 miles in to a 350 mile drive , it had dropped to about 98 at the end

It is Sadly. Brochure usually says you can't rely on it and must check with the dealer before ordering. That said even when you do that it doesn't stop Skoda changing the spec between order and build without telling anyone as they did to me. You could try telling the dealer you don't want the car unless it's as specified in your brochure. You might just have a legal argument that the vehicle isn't "as described" as you could only order from printed material. Your best bet would be to Get proper legal advice BEFORE collection your hand is much weaker after you hand over all those thousands of pounds.

The internal tailgate release is missing as is the aux in socket

Ride comfort is great Engine noise is very good even at higher revs. Refinement is good apart from skoda changing the spec slightly without telling anyone between order and delivery. I do miss the economy of my 1.9tdi 130 mk 1 but the engine is still being run in and I knew I didn't want to gamble on another diesel at brand new. You'll be very happy.

I think it depends on the car tbh. I had a Honda accord 2.2 vtec that did actually run better and return better mpg on shell v power to an extent it was cheaper to run on that. However my superb 1.9 tdi 130 showed no difference on v power Diesel infact it was fractionally worse. Got a 1.4tsi superb now and I've been running it on supermarket fuel no problem. It's only done 450 miles though. In the summer when I can drive long drives that I can replicate I will try the v power petrol again to do a comparison over 5 or so tank fulls.

Hi picked up my new 2018 hatch se 1.4tsi in quartz grey with rough ride pack, heated nozzles, front sensors, boot nets, rear wiper and spare wheel a couple of weeks ago.

I got a 2018 se 1.4tsi superb with rough road pack, spare wheel, heated nozzles, net programme front sensors and quartz grey for £16974 plus my 2003 1.9tdi comfort. Using skoda scrappage deal (£4000 for a car I paid £3000 9 years ago lol) so £20974 without the trade in. Think list price was a fraction under £24k. Think I could of got the same price on a Pcp but paid cash.

Not an answer to your question but might be useful for anyone else buying new. I have a 2018 se 1.4tsi. I specified a spare wheel at £100 On ordering. I fully expected a space saver but was very happy to see a full size spare under the mat. Yes it is a steel but I thought that good value (apart from the fact a spare should be standard in my opinion)

No deff not the door, that was my first hope as it happened on drivers side, I'm veering towards the windscreen seal, interesting about the pollen filter though, you obviously know what you're talking about. When I phone Skoda main stealers they knew of the sealant part and told me they just use silicone sealant.

Nope, back to the drawing board, checked today and its there tucked well underneath but there none the less. any more ideas? getting to the point where the only other thing i can try is slap silicone sealant everywhere i can think of.

No there definitely isn't one there, the Pollen filter has nothing above the paper element, I've had the car 5 years without problem, guess must have been the excessive rain this winter, cheers i will call the main stealer and see what they come up with.

no sunroof, no cover on the pollen filter though is that an additional part that has been modified? never been one on there

Hi guys Had a problem over the winter with water ingress into the front passenger footwell, Did the normal, the grommit on the drivers side was blocked, obviously cleaned it out and actually waxed what i could to decrease dirt build up. Just had the pollen filter re sealed and tested with a hose, still got a small amount of water appearing on the inside of the car ( on the wheel arch) any ideas???? The plastic scuttle over the wipers has got some cracks but don't honestly think its that. Also checked door seals ( as this previously caused a problem on drivers side.) Dont want to fix either the CCU or the joints to get the interior lights working again ( what told me there was a problem) until i've sorted the leak. Drivers side it fine BTW

I've got the same prob with my drivers door, the water trickles in, Ive used a towel wedged down and changed once a week. It works as a temp measure. BUt the elec window has now gone and just makes a horrid noise so i'm going to get the door card off ( now i have a decent excuse lol)

Nothing is a stupid question mate but no no sunroof!!! just a leaking boot lol!!!! I know I'm being picky the most common leak on these motors is a hideously expensive one (footwell) and her ei am complaining about my bootl!!!!
