Thanks folks.

I have had the exhaust warning light appear on the Scout:
and, using a friends scanner, have the code P2454 - DPF differential pressure sensor fault:
after a search for for sensor location, I believe that it is located here:
If this is the correct sensor, examining it shows that there is one pipe coming from what I believe is the DPF, and one that is open to the air (marked with a red line on the picture):
This seems curious, as the circuit diagram I have found (from here: http://www.volkspage...ssp/SSP_336.pdf) shows it as a closed circuit with a pipe from each side of the DPF:
If this ISN'T the correct sensor, could someone possibly show me where I should be looking, as I'd like to be sure that it isn't a faulty connection before changing it.
(copied from the diagnostics forum, as I haven't had any joy in getting a response there)

I've added you to the reserve list. If no-one drops out it may be worthwhile someone from the new list doing the same group order.

I've been away on holiday but yes, if I'm not too late I'd be in.

I ordered mine on March 31st 2010, and it arrived September 1st 2010.
They were pretty inept at paying the compensation (Dealer says in Head office, head office say "no such thing, it's the main dealer" etc) but my £150 did come through ok in the end...much to my wife's delight!

I have the same one as Dekka, and it certainly has helped my wife choose the correct nozzle ...so far

Awesome work fella - bookmarked!

You'll be able to browse the file/folder structure and when the tracks are playing the ID3 tags are displayed on the headunit.
but .....reeeeeeeeally slooooooooooowly!!!

Mine took just shy of 6 months to arrive, and as a "good will gesture" I received an M&S gift card for £150.

I can only say that my previous car was delivered by a mature driver who was at pains to point out he had driven steadily, but that's no guarantee of course.
Mine was the same. An old boy who really seemed to care about the cars he was driving, and insisted I took my time and looked it over carefully before he left. I then gave him a lift to the train station, as they have to make their own way home.

A fantastic price, could we ask where in the world you are?

Another CR140 Scout owner here, and am very happy with it.
It's much more refined than the PD, sitting halfway between a PD and a Petrol.
As Raglits says, it's fairly new to the Skoda fleet, but has been in VW's for a while now.

What's the difference between 6J & 6.5J and will it make a lot of difference?
Does anyone know the pros/cons to each of these?

Another vote here for Hatchbag.
They take a few weeks to make it for you (each one is made for you model car, rather than a generic badly fitting one), but when you come to fit it, it fits like a glove.

So Silver, what you're saying is that Mineral oil = Fully Synthetic oil?
and that VW in the 70's stopped advising 30 weight mineral oil for my Splitscreen camper in preference for 10/40 for nothing more than "marketing".
I guess you (and all the Formula 1 teams) are still using standard 30 weight Mineral oil then?

Just replied to the other Scout mpg thread and only on my 3rd tank of fuel, but up to now (with regular stop/start commuting driving) it's been around 42 mpg; according to the trip computer.

We've insured our new Scout with them, as they were £100 cheaper than the next nearest quote!
2010 stuttering on acceleration?
in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Posted
I have a 2010 2.0l CR diesel Octavia Scout with 85k miles on the clock. It has developed a stutter on acceleration between 1900 - 2100 rpm in the last couple of days, and is most noticeable in 2nd and 3rd.
Once past 2100, the acceleration continues cleanly.
Has anyone else experienced this?
It may be coincidence or not, but The VW/Audi 'update' was also carried out 6 weeks ago, and afterwards sounded slightly 'throatier', but didn't show any other differences that I could tell.
