  1. Clearly, they happily carry on dodgy practice of filling books with cars ordered cheap and sold at higher prices if there's demand. Shame on NCD for poor contracts and inability to stick out for customers. Shame on dealers for snatching cars ordered by customers for a quick profit. Shame on Skoda UK for letting it happen.
  2. Case in point. Same here and number of family/friends/colleagues who heard the story. While I'm not a fleet customer, in the last ~10 years I got Skoda 12 customers on top of 2 I've had personally.
  3. Lol, good for you. Funnily enough, I had the same call while on the way back from work in Passat.
  4. Not sure now, maybe as a second car. As I needed car for the summer and initial message was very clear (cancelled order & car is gone) - I looked for other options. Luckily bumped onto the Passat Estate BiTDI (240HP, 4x4) R-Line, pre-reg with delivery mileage, 9K discount and better trade-in price, making price close to Superb - so bought it. There's a little bit less kit on it (fully electric/ventilated seats, TV, electric tailgate, lane assist) but for me it was a fair trade off for 240HP, better DSG box, LED lights and more comfortable seats. After couple days I'm very happy with the choice, and it is surprisingly quick car when need to overtake.
  5. Short call from Kate to hold on, update to be issued tomorrow.
  6. Very interesting update. Got a call from Skoda UK (Kate) - she apologised on behalf of Skoda for the issue with delivery. They investigate matter of fleet cars being supplied to the private customers, but appreciate that customers are on the right here and purchased vehicles in a good faith. Cars in question have not been released by Skoda, they've blocked delivery while investigation is in progress, and may still be supplied to the people who've order these cars (that is if you have contacted Skoda and supplied your details). Further information to be communicated tomorrow and update on the blocked cars issued next week. One thing they've been interested about, was whether dealers have been in any contact with end customers, trying to resolve it from their end.
  7. Agree, just "we've got your e-mail" would be enough...

  9. I've had no response from Skoda yet, interesting to see if they contact others on Thursday.
  10. I used duncan.movassaghi at skoda.co.uk, is it the same you've used?
  11. I've sent an e-mail to Skoda UK's managing director couple days ago (very polite), no response so far, looks like they can't be bothered.
  12. See you folks - I've found another car - Passat BiTDI - best part, available within 10 days, bit less kit but great engine and discount was decent too. Shame to leave the forum, it's been my daily read for the past 4 months, as other said, unusually civilised place with (mostly) very mature people.
  13. Dealer doesn't pay for warranty repairs, bill goes back to Skoda UK, it's a win-win for them.
  14. Despicable practice by dealers/Skoda UK (even if for not being able to resolve this). For that reason (and wasted time and money) I'll pick a different brand.
  15. Just got cancellation by e-mail. Over 3 months wasted. Going to check with Skoda UK now.
