Had to get 4 tyres for my car, and I only had an unfixable puncture in one of them. Ahh the joys of Quattro 4WD where all the tyres need to changed to avoid breaking the Differentials.

Made it back to Dorset, no snow here, just signs that it's been raining. It's not cold either at 6c. Compared to Stevenage at 1pm when I left all the snow behind me.

Will be fun driving back to blandford later...

Car in for service and cambelt change tomorrow, expected bill just over ?1100

Sold car today, bought another much cheaper one to replace it.

Sitting in the bar at the crown hotel, just had a wonderful meal but of course the bill awaits.

Enjoying the cold crisp sunshine in dorset, makes a change from wind and rain.

Changed the cambelt position sensor on my car this morning, took 1 1/2 hours which is not to bad. put it all back together an no extra bits left over, phew.

Wishing this wind would die down, still what we have is nothing compared to Scotland.

Working this weekend, migrating all the mailboxes from the old MS Exchange 2003 server to Exchange 2010. Should be a piece of cake compared to the SQL 2003 databases I moved to SQL 2008 R2 and reconfigured today.

Last night was quiet, what happened to all the fireworks in Blandford. Did not hear a single firework being let off.

Been at work all day, playing with Servers and Networks. Lets hope it all works on Monday

Arriving back in Weymouth on the condor express, been up nearly 24hrs, 40 min drive home once we dock.

Picked my new iMac up from the Apple Store in Southampton after it broke down at 2 weeks old. New HDD installed and now its as good as new again.

Today is my birthday, at least I have the day off work but what to do.

Upgraded my iMac 27" to 16GB ram, what a difference it has made.

Back at home again in Dorset after a weekend with the rest of the family in Hertfordshire

New Sky+ HD 1TB installed to replace my old thomson one, and boy is this box quieter and a lot faster than the old one. Anytime + (VOD) is also very good.

Sitting outside, parasol up with cold beer in hand. Just finished washing and vacuuming the car, what a state it was in after 4400 miles with up to five adults whilst on holiday.
