My scout has been flawless, possibly the best all round car I've had.
Like you, myself and my driving is allergic to derv and I ultimately decided the 280 was just too big for my needs and the roads and journey I traverse daily (country lanes, narrow and old city streets).
I went to but a 320i xdrive but ordered a new X1 instead (petrol) after seeing them on launch day.

Well, I'm chopping the scout in but decided against the 280, or even a skoda.
They do look the Badgers nadgers though.
-
Ask it not to stand up, it's an unreasonable request.

That's what I have just now, but it's annoying me that I can't park up with the engine off and continue a call.
-
I would say Crateris for summer and Spectrum for winter :-)
Yup. Me too.
-
Pants, I thought that might be the case. I assume the interior lights / dash also sense key out or locked also then via the computer.

Anyone know where in the fuse box I can get power that is switched the same as the radio, rather than ignition on?
-
Hmmmm. A red saloon just came up my road yet my local dealer in Bath does not have one.
Frustrating.
-
So if it uses adblue are DPF regen cycles no longer required?
-
Indeed. Thanks for the translation.
I seriously considering chopping my TSI scout in for one of these. I don't do many (if any) motorway miles but don't really want MPG to go up dramatically.

I can report that I still have mine (#9) and am still pleased with it.

I couldn't find any Skoda centre caps the same diameter as the Audi ones - I ended up supergluing some domed resin Skoda logo stickers over the Audi caps. Look pretty decent tbh.
I pulled the Audi badges off, filled and sprayed them.
Mine went back on yesterday. Dib dib dib.

£9300
That seems more realistic. It still beats the residuals of my fathers B Class by some margin though.
-
So who's going to guess the value of a 59 plate scout TSI with 25k miles?
-
Even, not web. Bloody iPhone.
-
Where have you been foo? We've missed you.
Liar. I've been spending my time trying not to buy a new car, and buying watches instead.
I'm so happy with my scout I don't feel like changing web now.
-
Ah ok. Please tell me the rapid is not the replacement.
-
That'll be awkward then, they aren't accepting orders on new Scout's
Hahahaha. They will be gutted.
Why no new orders?
-
LOL.
I'm going to go along, but in reality I would only change for exactly the same car I have now even if they offered s straight no-cash swap for my 59 plate to a fresh-out-the-box one.
-
So whats this letter I received about then?
Dealer indicated the following:
They assess my car (value it presumably)
I tell them what I would like to change to (new car)
Skoda (not the dealer) make a deal offer to me via the dealer
That much seems clear - but whats behind this - are they going to be offering built cars? build slots? Is there a specific finance product behind this? How good are the deals going to be?
Anyone got any idea?

You can bet that service plan doesn't include a timing belt change at year 4. If it does it's a bargain.
I'll wager it does not. It's a 1.8TSI so I am liberated of the belt anyway (I think).
-
Looking for advice.
Just had the second (and final) service done using the £299 service plan I took out when the Scout was new.
Garage are quoting me their own which includes 3 services for £635 - this seems steep to me but what do I know.
Is there a Skoda plan which picks up where the initial one left off?
What are the next 3 services likely to cost?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

AFAIK its the 6J wheels that matter (6.5J is no good for chains).
Emissions scandal - now on 2016 diesels

Is there any indication MPG was defeated/cheated?
