So by the sounds the best way forward is to get teh kit and then get an auto-elec to fit direct rather than through a stealer! Thanks for the advice guys!

R2 - it's a brand new one, about 2wk old. Model is Fabia 1. eeny - Is it a straight forward or lots of electrics/dash out job? If straight forward I'd do it for her but if it's full dash out, etc then I'd hand it to someone else. Thanks both, dave

Afternoon all, My mum has recently picked up a new Fabia 1 and is very pleased with it all round, which is great as I recommended it to her!!! The only thing she misses (it was on her old car) is the remote central locking function. Is it possible to pick up a new remote off fleebay or somewhere and get it programmed in, and swap the key over? Or is it a stealer thing that needs additional modules in the central locking system?
