  1. Genuine one from tps is around £16 couple of minutes to do. Watch you don't ping the mickey mouse clip off and lose it
  2. I'm under strict instructions from the missus highest spec possible. I know the up high! Is well specced. Well have to go have a wander round the local dealers see what turns up.
  3. Arghh OK I'll have to keep an eye out for one fitted from new I think. Thanks for linking me to that thread. I did have a quick search on my dinner. The cruise isn't essential but would be nice to get as high a spec as possible. What is the highest spec citigo?
  4. Hi usual over on the fabia 1 section. We are possibly looking to trade our kia in for a citigo/mii/up soon. As the title really is it possible to do a retrofit for the cruise or are there any models that it comes as standard? Thanks ste
  5. Sound like your in the same boat as me. Doing big miles every week, trying to look after it and also trying to improve where possible.
  6. Any part numbers for the draw under the radio?
  7. Thanks guys great help. I plan to run new shocks and the Eibachs. Slight change of plans with the wheels I'll be going to the tried and trusted octavia spiders
  8. Looks stunning considering the car is 14 years old. One thing though when are you replacing the coolant tank?
  9. I'm on my second fabia with a ten year gap in between. I still think for the price of them you can't get better value for money. They are the perfect all round car for me. Cheap to buy Cheap to maintain Cheap to run Enough grunt for day to day IMO still a smart looking car 10+ years later Jack of all trades, master of none which suits what I need the car for at the present moment.
  10. Try anew injector wiring loom. They become brittle with age. Quite cheap and easy to change.
  11. It was many years ago now think I settled on about just over 800. If you play with it there is a sweet spot. You have to keep adjusting it till you find it. Virtually eliminated vibration at idle. My fabia I've got now. I'll just replace with the updated standard ones and replace when first signs of wear show
  12. As above check the alignment and also when I fitted mine to my old one. I noticed a lot of vibration at idle. We had a play with vagcom adjusted the idle up a few rpm. Seemed to solve it. They will be harsher as it's a solid bush
  13. Yeah I had a set on my first fabia before i switched to s3 to clear the brembos. They are still the best looking wheel on a fabia I think
  14. Looking good mate. Spiders suit the car so well. Pretty much same idea as me. Bought as a sensible daily to munch the miles and earn its keep. I'm seriously fighting the urge to put the sachs sre smf kit and lsd in while the clutch is being done.
  15. Don't take this the wrong way but why don't you put it into a garage and let them find the fault rather than just throwing money at it replacing things that might be wrong with it. With all the parts you have replaced. You've gotta be approaching couple of hundred. P.s check your oil level. Sometimes es the tandem pumps can leak diesel and it'll top up the oil level
  16. Seat bases are 30secs to remove. The back rest is in catches. The middle belt is held in with 17mm headed bolt. You could use the wheel brace when needed if you don't have the tools to keep in the car. I recently got front and rear seat interior in mine with just the rear seats removed. Swallowed them up surprisingly easy considering I was generous with the space as I didn't want to damage the interior I was picking up
  17. Fitted the grill now. Need to reattach the badge and replace the skoda badge with new style badges.
  18. Left the grill in the wash room with the dryer going at it most of night. The lacquer has now cured gave it a quick polish. But old paint needs cutting back and polishing up properly. I'll be doing the car in sections as I'm pushed for time these days. I've colour coded the vrs badge on the grill and it was faded. Im trying to go for a low key approach with black badges. Next little project is interior air vent surrounds. These will also be colour coded black magic. Hoping it'll add a bit of sparkle/colour to the inside without going into full on chav mode.
  19. Yes the leather just works. I love the green stitching and red piping just fits with the vrs badges. Had a bit of a play today and pulled the grill off to colour code. Had some black magic lying around so sprayed the chrome grill and the front vrs badge. I'll be refitting tomorrow once I've wet sanded and polished it up. It's not perfect but got a good finish Not a bad colour match from a spray can and against 13yr old paint. Also changed the pollen filter and replaced the load signal wire which has cured all of the electrical gremlins Did oil and filter change on Friday aswell. Feel a lot more confident now I know exactly what's in there.
  20. I'm planning on fitting a cupra steering wheel with red centre line, gloss black vent surrounds, possibly be a vent mounted boost gauge, the polo/lupo drinks holder, decent head unit haven't decided on style yet. Cruise control retrofit.
  21. Leather interior is now fitted. Feels a real nice place to spend some time now on my commute. Gave the carpet a quick hoover and a wipe down. It needs new floor mats but I'll get some rubber direct fit ones. Few pictures really pleased with these If anyone is after a really clean standard vrs interior with no rips, tears or wear to the bolsters. Message me and I can sort some pictures out. I'm looking for £100 and collection is Hyde greater manc SK14 postcode
  22. Hi can anyone confirm weather the kit with part number BEA 400 002 is right. Also is it a complete kit? Looks to come with the required stalk and the wiring loom. Thanks ste
  23. Ok so lack of pictures, was in a rush yesterday and done 350 mile round trip today. Did the track rod end on Friday. I need rack ends and another track rod end as there in a bad way as I want to do full alignment on it soon S2000 filter will be removed this weekend and replaced with standard Airbox and new paper element Pollen filter to fit tomorrow Road trip today to collect a fulleather interior in black. I had originally started searching for a black fabric sport interior but got offered this I jumped at the chance. I'll put some pics up tomorrow when it's fitted and clean. The colour combo just looks right in my opinion. We've traced the broken load signal wire do usual place. I've removed plug and will extend wiring and Rewire the plug next week. I'm holding off on the oil and fuel filters. When I bought the car it had a litre over max in it. We sucked it out down to max. I want to drive for a few weeks see if level rises which would point to injector seals or tandem pump.
  24. I apologise in advance I know it's been covered a million times but photobucket has cocked up the thread. I'm looking for side views of a fabia vrs with standard wheels and 25mm Eibach lowering springs and also if possible Octavia vrs 17" spiders Thanks ste
