No brake fluid coming through to rear left, (passenger N/S) caliper.
Hello experts. My mk1 vrs failed it's MOT for the first time last week, tester reported that there is no brake functuin on the rear passenger caliper. Trying the braking on axles stands at home & he's right, with brakes on the rear passenger wheel still spins. I've basically fault found right back to the ABS pump, (line from caliper to ABS pump is clear). Applying pressure to the master cylinder & all other 3 calipers flow fluid. I moved to the ABS pump & loosened the outlets on that & confirm fluid flowing out of Front R, Front L, Rear R, but of course Rear L is dry nothing coming out. The two pressure lines (input) into the ABS pump from cylinder are also good. Just checking with you folks 'the experts', would you agree that it sounds as if the compensator inside the ABS block has failed? I'm thinking of ordering a new 1J0 614 417 D ABS pump/compensator. Many thanks

Koni str.t and H&R spring kit from Larkspeed, rear spring mount issues.
Hello guys, I picked up a koni Str.t & H&R spring kit from Larkspeed, (God help me when I get to the front). All off at the rear & assembling the kit, I also purchased some new OEM rear spring top mount rubbers but no way can I get them to fit inside the spring, (also with originals which are the same). The top of the spring is curled more tightly than the OEM spring which means a smaller hole for mounting the rubber, (hopefully my pic explains), equally where the base of the spring sits in the trailing arm it won't slot over & around the raised cup as the spring is coiled too tightly at the end. For those of you that have done this before may I ask how you got around the rear, top rubber mount, & base mounting? I did manage to crush one of the rubbers in using lots of fairy liquid but it was all distorted & then 10secs later popped out. I'm starting to thing I have incorrect springs, for the life of me I am unable to see how they fit. Many thanks Pete

205 or 225 tyres on Vrs MK1
Hi folks. Been looking into x4 tyres and looking at 225/45 as a possible option over the 205/50, bizarrely I am finding cheaper prices if I switch to 225, however am concerned on how they'll look. The 205's do look perfectly matched for the stock alloys, I don't want a tyre that bubbles over the edge or looks like I'm into that mod the car to the point of fast n' furious. Anybody have any pics of 225's or can comment on their looks or a preferred manufacturer? Many thanks.

Wiper Blades
Hi folks, good grief I remember trying to size wiper blades for my 54 plate Vrs that I bought brand new back in the day. I'm not sure of the original manufacturer of the blades, (likely Bosch). All were the standard type however the drivers, (and drivers alone) had a spoiler I recall. That rear blade is such a pesky size...

MK1 Octavia (VRS) with Factory Maxidot + Satnav (list)
Hi DeanvRS, I'm not sure whether it's still valid now as I no longer own it but back in late Spring 2004 I specced a black magic vRS with all options possible, if I recall the base car was £15,880 but with options I think it was £19,200. This had Sat Nav & maxidot, registration = LN54 SFZ. Regards Pete
