  1. Just my opinion, but new car discount just feel a bit suspect to me.

The pattern of reviews on review websites make me think they are not genuine reviews.

I mentioned it in another thread somewhere, which I can't be arsed to look for now.

Will be interesting to see if our new scout turns up then. Seem good guys with my dealings with them so far, managed to provide quotes and call backs unlike most Skoda dealers I tried!!

  2. Hi all.

Noticed a leak today on rear caliper of the missus' 05 vrs, seems to be weeping out from seal where handbrake linkage goes into caliper.

Assume that this will be new caliper on that side which I may try to do myself.

    Anyone else seen this issue?

Is it best practice to change axle set of pads at same time or axle set of calipers??

Any top tips on best place to get the replacement parts???

    Thanks very muchly

    Andy.

  3. You'll be fine, give it at least a year and see how it goes.

Our first is now one and a half and we have had no problems. Got roof bars and roofbox for holidays and camping trips, but otherwise no worries with buggies, baby seat, shopping and weekends away for the rest of the year.

If we smash out a second then will probably get an Octavia scout estate, until then am going to see out the 5yr warranty.

Enjoy all the baby stuff, it is great!

  4. Hi all

Have been offered a 54 plate legacy at a very good price from a mate and would mean replacing the missus' 05 fabia vrs.

Anyone got much knowledge of common issues and stuff to look out for?

It is a 2.5 auto on 85k miles, top spec (sen) and a few advisories on mot re bush detoriation.

Know that will take a hit on fuel costs, but having a big 4wd car will be a bonus for us and has lots of toys on board too.

    Any thoughts??

    Cheers

    Andy.

  5. I got one last year that I think was the kamei Delphin 380 in gloss black. Is very good quality and robust build and on the hatchback is a perfect fit with the aerial just clearing the back of the box and the bootlid spoiler just missing the box too.

A number of trips to lake district in rain, everything dry and may have cost me 2mpg.

  6. Need some new rubber soon and purchase has been brought forward thanks to finding a screw in one of the rears yesterday!

Anyone got any back to back experience of my shortlisted choices to replace the OEM contis?:

    Falken ze912

    Hankook v12 k120

    Uniroyal rainsport3

    Avon zz5

    Cheers
